We have concluded to publish an anonymous volume setting forth the problem as we see it. We shall bring to the task our combined experience and knowledge. This should suggest a useful program for anyone concerned with a drinking problem.
Using the AA GSO statistics, and including the program dropouts, the success rate of AA, as a whole "...the total averages of sobriety for the total AA membership become 3.7% for one year [of sobriety], and 2.5% over five years." (Kolenda, 2003, Golden Text Publishing Company)
Repeated studies have shown that the average person, who could be diagnosed with a substance abuse problem, will discontinue use on their own 20-30% of the time.
Doesn't matter what it is, though, so presumably it would be OK to be a practsing Satananist. Why on earth do churhes allow their premises to be used by a group which so obviously promotes beliefs that contradict the Christian faith?
Yeah! but there isn't only the Christian faith in this world, is there? so, if you have an alcoholic who is muslim, buddist,Jewish, catholic or even an athiest or satinist as you put it, AA is there to help anybody and everybody who needs the help. Each individual's higher is what 'they' want it to be. These are my words, not speaking for AA as a whole.
