GT is part of my 80s musical childhood. I personally have Thin Red Line, Someday, My Song, and Don't Forget Me on my mp3 (as well as 714 80s-only songs hehe, can you beat that?)
My most favorite song.....I can't believe I found this......let me listen to it so many more times.....THANK YOU!!!! They should have been BIG TIME!!!!!
This is what real music artists... people who write their own music. Great band. Alan Frew has an amazing powerfull voice. If only they made music like this still.
I associate so much of my childhood around music that i heard on the radio or on Much music....i grew up on music like glass tigers growing up in Toronto..
All I have to say yet again is THANK GOD for the 80's and the fantastic artists like Glass Tiger that made them forever memorable in music and in my mind.
Search Mrkobes1 Here on youtube to SEE my SON, An Awesome 8 Year Old Boy in 3 different Video's Singing to Bruno Mars & Big Time Rush & Jamming on the Drums, please feel free to post him a POSITIVE comment to make his day...thanks
@RubyHazeChick One great thing is they get together here and there for events, which is a good thing for someone my age! I was born two years after their first album! lol
Love this song.. his voice and emotions really come out in this song.. seen them in concert in my home town which was amazing cause the population is so tiny..lol.. they really sounded great in person.. always makes me smile to hear them on the radio..
I've went through the GT songs on here and it's agreed that the 80's was what music is all about and after the 90's, we lost what music truly is...grat song!
I read your posts and I get tears in my eyes. I know Glass Tiger since one year and I was eight years old, when this song came out. I love their music. I love the 80s! Thanks to all of you!
When i was on my senior class trip in toronto back in 1985 . there was a sign for a band called GLASS TIGER at a local bar, i wish we had gone in and seen them. i have a picture of that sign somewhere, i will have to find it.
I wish bands like this were still around putting out emotionally driven tunes for everyone to reflect on, seems as though we've lost touch in the sincerity of life.
absolutely! These guys were great and The Thin Red Line was a great album...my former girlfriends definitely liked the ballads playing from the front seat to the back...;-) Thank you GT for all the great memories!
I truely agree. Those were the good ole days when things were soo much innocent. Pop was Pop with out all this hip hop synch voice dubs today, which totally sucks.
As I watch this video...... It gives me goosebumps all over my body and reminds me the time i went to see them perform in Ontario Place when it was my 1st concert!
I just can't believe it was the 80s and I had an opportunity to meet Alan Frew at a Toronto Argonauts football game last year in the fall of 2007 at the Rogers Centre (WAS SKY DOME) and he was a COOL GUY!!!
This was also my first concert at Ontario Place..lol..I did get the chance to meet them for an autograph signing and not until I was married did my brother have a surprise phone call for me, the one and only Alan Frew (my favourite)I nearly fainted.
I met Alan Frew at a Toronto Argonauts football game last November and I was raving about the band to one of his people and how his band was my 1st concert that I went to. I was so impressed by him and he was kind of give me his autographed when I asked. This song sends me goosebumps up along my arms!
Being a drummer from the 80's Glass Tiger were as good as any pop rock acts at the time. Pity Nirvana, Pearl Jam etc entered the industry along with an abundance of dance pop from Minogue etc which unfortunately disintegrated many pop rock acts. Fortunately and ironically it has returned again from about 2005- 20 years later. Its all about 'timing'your music right.
i have this concert on DVD... and i just seen them in concert last month... best time of my life.... and just an FYI im only 23.. and i remember from back from 88 and so on!
There's a memory and a half. I was in this video God knows how long ago when it was taped during a live show at the Forum at Ontario Place in Toronto. It must have been 1986.

I was in high school when this album came out. What a sight to see 30,000 fans in Hamilton's Gage Park to see them. It was an amazing show.
