  • Full transcript of video available on my blog: go to my channel and click the link to the site.

  • Nice video. The part where the woman dances with a shadow figure was taken from which movie?

  • @amywyse Thank you for the kind words. Clip: watch?v=dQPJlj1kLbA

  • @alienbaroque Wow you just totally made my day! Thanks! :D

  • Your videos are awesome, and I have to ask if you will be making more of them. A video about the Persona and Anima / Animus would be nice. If no video a short article on your blog would suffice.

  • @guruproto Eventually, man, but it will be a while. I'm very busy.

  • Fantastic work. This will help with my assignments. Thank you

  • what is the last song? on this video?

  • @000WOLFBANE000 watch?v=7FDAkpQSJVA

  • ALIENBOROQUE, do you happen to have the transcript for this video by any chance, and if so, could you send me the link, please? thank you.

  • @imdaprince2 Go to my blog (link on channel page), click on the right-hand side where it says: "Jung Videos & Transcripts."

    Namaste,

    AB

  • transcription please. I'm missing a lot here

  • @lwenbrauer I will post them on my blog, which is listed on my youtube channel.

    Thanks for commenting.

    AB

  • @alienbaroque Let me later send you what I've got so far

  • Stay long enough in the light and it becomes a terrible darkness

  • @O It's that when we go into one extreme, then the other one extreme possesses. Like the Javert (police inspector) in Les Misérables, or the Pharisees. When we are not fully aware of our own darkness, then we risk projecting onto others (and being seized by the projection). There's a difference between what is true balance, and what we think is "balance" (excluding the inner opposite in polarized extremes, what the religious see as "good"). In Christianity, Christ unites all opposites on cross.

  • @alienbaroque balance, more like a dance !! thanks AB

  • Really good vid. I found it hard to keep up with the dense academic material and audio/visual effects. To each their own I guess, peace

  • @OpiatedBliss Thanks for taking the time to watch it.

    Namaste,

    AB

  • Awesome

  • Could you make one of the anima, please? You are great!

  • @patoloco1000 Thanks, man. Yes, I will be making one of the anima. My next video will be on the OWS, then the collective uncon. and archetypes, then, specifically, the anima and the animus. Also, I will be posting articles on my blog (alienbaroque. wordpress. c 0 m).

  • sublime

  • @VoxPandemonium Thanks for watching, man.

  • How come the only dreams I remember are ones with my past romances, particularly ones I felt didn't reach their full potential? I'm a musician, and fascinated by the concept of the "muse". Is this simply my subconscious feeding me fuel for my art??? Because it is kinda a drag sometimes, but is also extremely fulfilling when a new song emerges. I believe a fuller understanding of human consciousness will help me sort it out.

  • @A The anima is the contrasexual self (inner feminine) of the man, the animus (masc.), of the woman (archetypes) responsible for feelings of "connectedness" with the world, and with falling in (and out) of love, whether it's with a person, Art, or even a political movement. But it works on us unconsciously (as a projection). Seems you are, @ times, using the person to "activate" this feelings of connectedness, instead of Life itself, directly, consciously. Writing the music itself is the way.

  • @Asalamalika 2) B/c with the music (or any art) you are exploring this unconscious aspect of yourself (your connection with Life). This is why it is fulfilling (healing) because you feel that connection *by going within yourself* to connect to the world (which is the true way). When you love (or hate) another, it is usually because this other possesses something outwardly that you possess inwardly (usually). Knowing yourself means you are better able to frame (see) what is really "out there."

  • @Asalamalika 3) As for you dreams themselves, not just one dream, but several would have to be looked at and analyzed on their own terms (context) to look for patterns and see what's really going on. I suggest, writing down your dreams and paying very close attention to your feeling-reactions, to identify how they are complimenting and compensating your waking attitude/actions. In due time, I will start to speak specifically on Jungian dream analysis.

  • @nathalush What do you think? That the "illuminati" invented symbolism? That the "illuminati" have cornered the market on archetypes--on their meaning, their usage, and how they operate both within the human psyche and the collective unconscious? You're the kind of person who screams "Illuminati!" every time you see an eye or triangle, absolutely without any understanding of you're saying. I have no time for this. Get off my channel.

  • @n 2) If you understood the meaning of such symbolism like the one eye (symbol of the inflated ego, one-eyed-ness, b/c of its rejection of the Self), or the meaning behind the tertiary of the triangle (3 is the number of the Shadow, because it points to the missing 4th, which would mean wholeness), or how archetypes actually function, both within the psyche & the collect. uncon, you'd understand this video. But if my "Jung theory" is wrong, then make a video correcting me, by all means.

  • Thank you for this, it was beautifully done, your voice is very relaxing to listen to too. i just started looking up jung from an alan watts video, and its helped me clarify many things. i got a chill when you mentioned if you've ever had a strong liking or disliking of someone for no particular reason, for years there has been this guy I've noticed, that has portrayed something i strongly identified with but could never really understand why. please keep making more of these.

    namaste.

  • @justthink124 Thank you for your kind words. They mean a lot.

I'm in the process of making a video right now, but it's going to take a while to finish.

    Namaste,

    AB

  • @rudolphat I THINK it's legend. I'm not sure though. I'm racking my brain.

    Awesome video!!!!!

  • @dont138 Thanks, man. Yes, Legend: watch?v=kOxViR7eCuM

  • at 6:15 there is a clip of a lady dancing with shadowy leather lady, anyone know what movie it's from?

  • @rudolphhat watch?v=kOxViR7eCuM

  • The thought that thought of dreaming and the dream that dreampt of thinking is the oneness of consciousness

  • @cardellacole4 Beautiful. Thanks, man.

    AB

  • ...stunning visuals; eerie, too

  • @1michelemichele1 Thanks a lot for watching the video and taking the time to comment.

    Namaste,

    AB

  • 3rd all feels like i already knew it. sorry for typing so much just thought you psychology type might like to hear. peace

  • 2nd> i then came across this video and for the first time ever i kinda feel at peace and no longer feel like asking the question " am i a good person" which resulted in a world wind of a constant headache. you kinda don't judge overs anymore as well. hope this keeps up for me but i honestly never felt so good. strange eh seeing your self as no better then the gas chamber ppl could actual result in a more positive person. last thought i will bore u with, this actually all feels like

  • @oneillaaron23 The big problem (in the world) is when we don't integrate "this other" inside us, and then (unconsciously/without knowing it) blames others for own evil. So, next to integrating the Shadow and the anima/animus--reclaiming projections is the next great work--recollecting the pieces of yourself that have broken off and "taken on a life of their own." No one is perfect, and it's the work of a lifetime.

  • does this make any sense i had a huge problem with hair loss (mentally) and what a can only describe sexual guilt from a very young age, been experiencing depression for 5 years now..... i recently watched a video about meditation in which by chance touched upon something that had a very positive effect on me it was doing some ruin healing hand sigh (hagal) in which your say left thumb touches your right thumb and you imagine one being evil one being good, and kinda except that you have both

  • Touching of thumbs is symbolic of "completing the circuit," and you find this symbolized (as an archetype) in dreams, when the ego integrates unconscious content (what the Self is trying to bring into the ego's conscious awareness, i.e, what the conscious personality does not see about itself). Circles symbolize this connection between the halves. Accepting "you have both," and integrating these two halves (the Shadow) & is exactly what individuation (the Great Work) is all about.

  • @o Comment deleted. Perhaps would be better to say it privately. This "peace" you feel (and the realization you had) will most assuredly make itself known in a response from the unconscious, in a dream. As for uncovering the "pathogenesis" of a neurotic symptom, that requires a lot of work, but this first step is simply talking about it without fear of judgement. Most neuroses are the result of being stuck in the past (b/c: you were unable able to properly express emotion to original trauma).

  • this is scary

  • it's hard to hear what you are saying because of the sound quality

  • @TheUndertakerSaysRIP I know, thanks. I will be using a microphone on every other video from now on.

    Namaste,

    AB

  • @alienbaroque but awesome video nevertheless... you should make more psychology related vids

  • Nice channel. I always thought Jung was pretty special and liked his view on god.

  • @foxterrier65 What's most interesting (to me) is when he began working with quantum physicist Wolfgang Pauli and the Iching--then you really see how his interpretation of reality is fractal/holographic--truly "4D." Do a search for Quantum Activist, the movie, on YT. You might want to rent it. Pretty amazing stuff.

    Thank you for kind comment,

    AB

  • Amazing work alien, stunning.

  • @anonplanz Thanks, man. Much appreciated.

  • @13thfloor18 Yes, you are onto it. For instance, the "rubedo" or reddening stage is the blood of life--putting into action/integrating practically the unconscious content. Everyone begins with the negredo, etc. Albedo is the whitening/purification.Many different alchemists for thousands of years were projecting these unconscious processes onto the base metals they were trying to transform; & Jung, with von Franz, unraveled the mystery. The black/negredo is the Shadow.

  • wow....great video....so basically, the shit that you repress will eventually eat you, and become you.

Really cool how you reference Jesus.

psychology is so amazing, and so broad.

  • @DesertSmeagle Thanks, man.

  • Fantastic! Provocative and moving. Similar to what another commentator said, I too would have liked an option for the script to either read afterwards or along with the video.

  • @doc4soul1 Thanks, man. Your kind words are very heartwarming. Namaste.

  • crazy

  • What a fantastic video. It really makes you ponder what it is to be human. :)

  • @onewomanandsomesongs You are too kind. Thank you very much for taking the time to watch and comment.

    Namaste,

    AB

  • Jesus's shadow = Satan?

  • @Psycha Not exactly. God's Shadow is the O.T Jehovah. Job was a kind of proto-Jesus, in the sense that, after making Job suffer (Job was righteous), he one-ups Job by coming down into his own creation as Christ, living, suffering and dying in it. Satan would be like the inflated Ego, seeing itself as the center, trying to usurp the Self's power. This gets into, really, the personal struggle everyone goes through while trying to live a Self-centered, not a "self-centered/Egoic life.) See Chpt. 1

  • @alienbaroque pt. 2 So, in this sense, Christ reconciles all the opposites (spirt/flesh, good/evil). In other words, God himself grows (is transformed), and the message of Christianity (which has been lost) is to make the psychological transformation of death, burial and resurrection (of the Ego), to a Self-orientated life. Individuation is about the Ego going through this very process. The Christian Gnostics kept this truth alive, whereas modern Christianity gets stuck in a dualism.

  • We were all born with free will and original sin.. the free will is divine and Jesus died for our sins. With free will, we can accept the self without the guilt trip thanks to Jesus... Would this be another way to say same thing??

  • @somewhereone Christianity (as it has evolved today) separates everything into eternal opposites that are never reconciled within the individual and, instead, get projected b/c of an interpretation that sees them as to be "reconciled" in an Armageddon (Zionism has its Jewish-only Holy Land, Muslims have an eternal mandate to convert, even if by sword). In other words, "the Kingdom of God is within you," or, as Jesus said, It's already here, but men do not see it. Not to integrate=to project.

  • @alienbaroque And to project=to become possessed by an illusion (externalizing unconsciously what is really a part of you, mistaking your own evil (and your good, as well), as belonging to "the other."

  • I, the narrator, argue that the rejection of the feminine (matter/materia/mater) instead of its integration, in Christ., Islam, etc.

It's all about your own MythicShadoW

  • @somewhereone It's about understanding how you, unconsciously, are creating your own particular observation/interpretation of reality.

  • @alienbaroque understandable... my comment has a deeper meaning to it as it is my way of saying thank you to a ShadoWy friend of mine.. He made that video reply I posted to this video too.. great stuff AB thanks!

  • @somewhereone Thank you for the kind words and the friend invitation.

  • @alienbaroque no no.. thank you.. really... haha tennis anyone..?

  • my brother always tells me that i wake up screaming and running around the house but i can never remember me doing them anyone know what this could mean/be?

  • is that the voice of Dimitri Halley? I heard a few of his lectures, absolutely mind altering philosophy.

  • @robbiealvarez001 No, it is mine. Dimitri's voice is on the other video I made (for him), featured on my channe, called Dimitri Halley: On Projectionl. The original video of his that I use (that I get the narration from) is in the description of that video.

  • bro, this is BRILLIANt, it slaps me in the face, you could SELL this s**t !!!

  • So does the narrator argue that ancient forms of Christianity, with the presence of the Virgin and female saints and forms of fasting and mortification, fuller than modern forms? Are strict monotheisms (Judaism and Islam) limited because they lack a feminine principle? Is radical Goddess worship limited by its dismissal of the male? Questions to consider.

  • @ I, the narrator, argue that the rejection of the feminine (matter/materia/mater) instead of its integration, in Christ., Islam, etc.--means a disconnection, but it was a natural progression as we moved from lunar-based belief system, to a solar one (solar hero worship). The new stage in consciousness will be neither, but the Self as the center, symbolized by the center of galaxy (this is the big shift). We're still stuck in this solar stage, which is ending. Wait for my book.

  • wow this is great. thank you for posting it. i would love to have it in book/text form

  • Penrose, Bohm, and the hidden physics of synchronicity: watch?v=qAjC81MUe_I

  • I've always thought that it's a shame that too often, Jung's ideas are transmitted in a rather dry manner, when there is so much imagery waiting there to be explored. This video gives us a chance to understand what Jung meant when he said that archetypes (such as the shadow) are images charged with emotion. Well done!

  • @jondeeca Thanks, man. Your thoughtful comment means a lot. It will probably take me a full year to finish the entire Jung series (to go through all the fundamentals, and then get into actual dream interpretation). Eacg vudei takes such a long time to edit. You know, literally, every day, when I wake up, I'm amazed out the complimentary and compensatory nature of the subconscious. It makes me so happy to share this reality with other people; when someone "gets" what I'm trying to convey.

  • Is there a written transcript of this? This is fantastic!

  • @Invadurr Thanks. The narrative is actually part of a copyrighted thesis. I'm thinking about putting it on my blog.

  • This one is brilliant! Explains it well 8))

  • @MilitantPeaceist Slowly but surely, I'm making the rest of them. The next one is going to be about Dimitri Halley, a fellow Jungian who has a practice in Aruba. Check him out! His channel link is in the description bar. He is the real master.

  • @alienbaroque

Indeed I will AB, TY again <3

  • From seeing your other videos it seems that you would like the concept of pluralistic thinking. Is duality the same as Plurality? because I was taught that what YOU call Duality is PLurality and what I call duality is "non-duality"

  • Comment removed

  • @SofeeDeeJay No, the blindspot here (and in the presumption of the question) is how we are unconscious of this duality (and become even more uncon. of it, with the Ken Wilbers, etc.) until we become, truly, unified by integrating the inner opposite (the subcon.). The problem is that the Ego sees itself as the center of all awareness. It's not. It's just the center of conscious awareness. Not consciousness itself. The Self is the center.

  • I am in awe. this wideo is the gateway to something else I must begin to accomplish. thank you so much.

The audio forces me to pay attention. the music makes the words penetrate deeper and deeper.

I must say this music is something different. where can I listen to more music from this composer?

  • @compadrelucas watch?v=ihF_aXi-Huk

  • @alienbaroque thank you.

    this is so great.

  • @alienbaroque thank you this is great

  • @compadrelucas Thank you. Please also check out Dimitri's page. His username is: daniela1771

  • god I love this... every time I watch it...

  • @Elenkhos Thanks, man. It picks up views here and there every day. I'm surprised these videos get as many views as they do. The topic is so narrow. Many more are on the way.

  • Beautiful and profound- something I will be mulling over for awhile!- thank-you!

  • @snakey973 Thanks for taking the time to watch it and comment!

  • I have to say I am very glad that I was always taught the Daoism philosophy as a child that I am both good and evil, inevitibly, and most of all, naturally,

I don't feel like I am fighting an inevitible doomed and bipolar battle in "myth" based monotheisms

but my struggle involves more with to be responsible, like to cultivate a mature understanding of light and dark (who I see myself as, in this case, and the shadow)

  • @jacqueshauer What I am trying to convey, here, is the integration (instead of the rejection and ultimately the projection) of this opposite within, both individually and collectively. For an understand of what myth really is, see: watch?v=VgOUxICCHoA

  • @theDukeOfEmerald Thanks!

  • nicely done

  • @pyrrho314 Thanks, man.

  • @pyrrho314 And thanks for the sub!

  • Very good vid. I wish you would put a transcript of the words you are saying in the description box. With the effects on the voice combined with background noise from parts in this vid, there were some places where it was hard to understand what you were saying.

All this aside, I do appreciate your straight ahead presentation of Jungian psych. Interesting subject.

  • @chuckfaststrat Thank you very much. I apologize for the difficulty. I don't know so well how to make the annotations in the video, but I will give it a try when I have the time.

  • @alienbaroque Do you plan on giving presentations on other archetypes? And giving basic Jungian analysis? You did a great job on the self and shadow- if you are going to do this on others, I'm subscribing.

  • @chuckfaststrat Thank you. Yes, I plan doing, first, the fundamentals: syzygy, what an archetype is, collective uncon. v. personal uncon., and then really get into some detailed explanations on alchemical symbolism as they appear in analysis (calcinatio, ablutio, etc.), and also explain things like the temenos, transference, counter-transference, and, of course, projection, very important. But, it's going to take time. I have to build a foundation, first, before I go really deep.

  • @alienbaroque Looking forward to your upcoming vids. I'm subbing.

  • @chuckfaststrat Thanks, man. Be patient. Takes me a while. In the meantime, you might want to check out Dimitri's channel (in the descriptbar). His videos go really deep, especially in the area of projection/observation. Writing the "script" of these videos is easy, it's the editing that takes a while. And thank you for your kind words. It always amazes me, you know, when someone takes an interest in this subject matter. To me, it's very close to my heart. But I realize most couldn't care less.

  • @alienbaroque When learning about a new subject, most people want solid precise information without indoctrination or bias. You communicated the concepts effectively and accurately. So long as you remain dedicated to this level of integrity, more people will seek out your vids. Watch and see. So, take your time.

  • @chuckfaststrat Thanks, man.

  • Sorry it took so long for me to stop by! Excellent job!

  • @wayman29 Thanks!

  • Happiness is not somewhere out there, it's always here and now, and it is the joy of a very simple feelings.

    - Franky

  • @XStreet1985 Thank you for the comment. I've been thinking about doing a video about Viktor Frankl, specifically, on happiness. I'm reading his Man's Search for Meaning for the third time now. Perhaps I can distill something from it and make it into a video worthy of his harrowing account. His thesis on meaning was put to the test when, right after writing it, he found himself herded onto a train bound for a concentration camp. Everyone should read that book.

  • Ciao AB,This is the most beautiful & beautifully spoken video I have seen & heard in a while on YT. I am heavily weighed with emotion and I have you to thank for this. I really needed to see this video today. This surpasses that which you have tried to evoke.....I love that you used clips from 'Legend' & 'Krull' 2 of my favorite movies. The scene in which Lily is confronted by her shadow is the most beautiful part of the film imo.Not many understand that scene.Pure brilliance.Subbed! Grazie

  • @VitaVeritasVictoria1 Wow, I'm very moved. Thank you very much.

  • @alienbaroque I am going to watch a few more of your vids either tonight or over the weekend....I should thank goat for sending me...lol He was telling me about your wonderful vids and I'm glad he did. You seem very intelligent & open minded. I like that. It's very nice to meet you. Ciao for now new friend. ;)

  • @VitaVeritasVictoria1 You are too kind. I don't really have much up, though. Goat is really cool. He's gives really good advice. His waters go deep. Thank you, again, for your kind words.

  • Very interesting. I have to read some of Jung's works whenever I can get around to it.

    Grazie.

  • This is one of the best things I have yet found on YouTube. I can't wait until I have gone through the rest of your collection.

  • @walterwz Thank you very much for your kind sentiment.

  • Fantastic.

  • @Freshtymer Thank you!

  • this really does justice to the topic.

  • @daniela1771 Thanks, Dimitri. Means a lot, man.

  • Very well done... faved.

  • @Elenkhos Thanks, man.
