wow ...we americans were gearing up for sex and disco in 1975, and you brits were rotting your brains with this stuff....did the Beatles breaking up really hit you blokes that hard?
Hey you Yanks have Barry Manilow so that's no excuse and Neil Sedaka (very suspect voice if ever there was one lol)
I bought this 45 single and freely admit it,yes it's pop but very well done ,but of course I ended up being a Thin Lizzy fanatic and still am,sometimes harder is better LOL
@nealadams70 You did call me 'Sir' so I won't be too hard on you ,however us Brits took your rock n roll and re-invented it in the mid 60's right into the mid 70's,only to have another British invasion in the early 80's with the NWOBHM ( New Wave of British heavy Metal).
I not doubting the contribution of pas American artists unlike the hiphop shit your country produces today.
The single released date 21st NOVEMBER 1974 also was not inside the Christmas charts 1974 on 19th DECEMBER 1974.TOTP THURSDAY 2nd JANUARY 1975 Pilot straight in at no 27 in the charts then few weeks later went into Number 1 at the top of the charts for 3 weeks. I hope enjoyed this great video ever, Pliot January.
Aww this was a big favorite for me, I was 5 when this was released and my parents bought the 7" single.. I wrote my name all over the middle bit of the disc.. it was my first song.
En que año se lanzo el single MAGIC???? 74 O 1975?' SI se han fijado David Paton se ve muy demacrado y avejentado en el video de magic y aqui luce mas juvenil.

Has remained a real favourite of mine since the age of 10 years old .David Paton always reminded me of Kung Fu's David Carradine ! He and guitarist Ian Bairnson played on the first two Kate Bush albums.'Time, it's a flyer'...yes indeed !!!
Too often placed alongside the 'teenybop' groups like Kenny, Pilot were in fact matchless musicians who perhaps produced too many 'twee' songs to be taken seriously. Anyone who doubts their pedigree should obtain copies of 'Morin Heights' and 'Two's A Crowd' immediately. So many great songs that it's obscene they should belong to one band.

Jan. 1975 - Sunday evening, Wind's blowing a Gale outside, Rain hitting the windows, Mum and Dad cooking Sunday Tea (Always had cooked meal at Teatime on a Sunday), Top 40 Countdown on the Radio, Big Bruv shouting at us younger ones as he tries to do his homework, me, just turned 12, scrapping with the other two on the Bunk Beds.... Where's the time go?
This was the best time ever, and if the kids of today say their music is the best, and that this is pap, don't believe them. I would give up everything now for just 24 hours. The trouble with youth, is that it is wasted on the young. We just didn't realise at the time that it would all come to an end, and we would have to have responsibilities to live up to. Great times, great memories, thanks for the post.
@blagger56 If you find that port let me in too! I would go back and refuse to return to this mess they call today! Thanks for speaking out blagger56.
No. You yanks were busy fighting another war for no good reason.
NO change there then

Heard this on Radio 2 on Saturday and it brought back many good memories from my childhood, growing up listening to my Parent's music.
I did however, think it was a 60's song, but how wrong was I?
Thank you for the Upload!!!
