First off greenday is Alternative Punk just like this band. Also greenday didnt sell out they changed producers. Jerry finn produced all there good albums but hasnt produced the last few. @seabolt007 Green Day is "pop punk" they were part of the massive 90's push that brought about bands like Blink 90210 and Cum 41. There's nothing alternative about it, it's the mainstream part of punk.

As for Jerry Finn I don't agree. Out of the list of albums he's mixed I like maybe 2 at a push. I like "Hitler Bad, Vandals Good" and at a push I like "Out Come The Wolves...."

Personally I preferred Kerplunk as a Green Day album. Punk is meant to be raw. Jerry Finn made overproduced poppy punk.
