Matim0: I'm guessing you would use a gaming mouse with adjustable DPi, what in game sensitivity/mouse Dpi do you use? I've been messing around with mine trying to find a good balance. Usally I run with the sensitivity (in game) about half the bar, and mouse on 3200 DPi - and If I ever go sniping I usally toggle it down to 1800 DPi.

Do you believe theres any difference in gameplay between the PC and console versions of BF3? Is there any reason sniping would be less/more effective on console? Any reason why this kind of tactic might not work?

i play on xbox and on rush it is difficulter to play aggresive recon than on conquest and you have to have a descent team for doing well especialy on rush

I find the L96 better than the SV98 because of the bullet speed, I really enjoy it :), but they're both my favorite. I like the M40 for his reload time between 2 shots, but the scope takes way too much space on the screen !

Hey Matimi0, how many kills have you got with the sv98/L96? bcos SV98 i loved and got up to 980 kills with it, but then the L96 came out, and i now have very nearly 1.5k kills with it. I like to play my recon alot like you too :)

If one really wants to play an aggressive Recon, why not use the semi-automatic rifle over the bolt action rifle, and with a 4x or 3.4x scope attached to it? I recently was playing the Recon class a lot in an aggressive manner, and I have found myself enjoying the QBU88 with a 4x scope on it as it works effectively in either the long range or the mid/short range. I therefore strongly recommend those Recons who want to make bigger impact in the Rush mode to give QBU88 a try, and you won't regret.

@periplatipus i use the L96 with a similar style at him, and have nearly 1.5k kills with it, and i use 12x scope (8x in metro) with a strait pull bolt. all of the 3rd attachments make it worse: silencer = more bullet drop/slower travelling bullets, Flashlight, is well, shit. And Laser is ok, but as you should be going for headshots i wouldent reccomend it

I liked your comment I was mostly hoping to bring attention to the fact that this video is a perfect examample of playing recon and helping your team not just laying down as far away as possible from the action trying to get long headshots that you have almost no chance in getting. Obviously by your comment you like to win and PTFO so were on the same page I just hope at least one camper recon watches this video, changes his ways and helps his team win.

I use the sniper with the laser so when im running to position i can shoot from the hip to close enemies with greater accuracy so i cna lower their health then switch to pistol and finish the job, and i turn it of when sniping of course

@liljemalm I think he was posting more sniper play because the subs requested more of it. So he tries to make the best of both worlds by posting sniper play but trying to do it in a way that helps his team hoping that other people will follow suit when using the recon class. I agree that any other weapon would have been more effective, but that's not the point of this video.

I would go as far as to say that all the kills you got in this video couldve been pulled off in a more effective manner using any other class with their respective weapons. Arguing that the recon class is useful because of the gadgets makes sense to some extent but meh =P I just wish that more recon players catch on and PTFO. Awesome channel btw, keep posting!

Just started using the recon class recently...Like the L96 with 8x, it's the only bolt action I'm effective with...I don't know why people say recon is useless, those spawn beacons open up an entire new game when used correctly and the MAV is ridiculous...It can just sit there and light people up on the map it's like legal wall hacks that you can fly around and kill people with lol...

Just wondering, do you ever use Shotguns? Could be fine if you posted a weapon review/compairson of some shotguns! On Strike on Karkand i tend to do the same as you as a recon for the first 2 MCOMs. But later on I tend to flank through the left (still as a recon). What kind of strategy do you use?
