  • like butter.

i can't cut through balsa wood that fast.

  • I have never seen a saw cross cut that fast??!!!

  • Wow very nice.! Stihl is the best!

  • whoa, hey where ya going? Your not done.

    Nice pie work.

  • it a hot saw

  • excelent- pedazo de motosierra I need one, good vid.

  • LMAAAAAO this guy is splitting it with his chainsaw AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!

  • Ok.. I got to say this dude is a PRO. If you re-watch the video, you will see how he had full control of that saw - played it like a violin. No safety equipment needed. Why - most idiots with chaps and full safety gear would have hit the dirt and dulled the chain. Did anyone notice that he let the weight of the log finish the cut? Well done!

  • Man that's a waste of good wood for woodworking. Hurts my heart to see all that go up in flames...

  • Holy shit sorry account got hacked I really didn't post those comments below don't know who the he'll did

    My actual comment from mitch95100-

Awesome saw when you get a saw tuned right thell run forever

  • I wish my chainsaw cut that fast...

  • get some carhartts and sharpen your chain, it's throwin fairy dust.

  • That is one bad ass saw. Look at how effortlesly it cuts. Chaps or not, that is damned impressive.

  • That was fuckin' awesome! I so need to upgrade from my 18'' Craftsman! I would still be on the first cut and a fresh chain would be shot by now!

  • Nice saw. Not wearing hearing protection kicks ass because you can hear the tree cracking. I'd rather have hearing damage than get rolled over by a 300# log. Some people are just envious about the size of their guide bars, ya know?

  • @brrrlak Maybe you do and maybe you don't, Michael Moore. I'm sure you've done something in your life that will increase your healthcare costs in some way. That's why third-party payment for healthcare should be done away with, so you this guy can keep cutting up wood in a way that's safe for him, and you can keep increasing your risk of colon cancer by having sex with men.

  • VERY NICE :-) clear work ! :)

  • I like oak furniture more than oak firewood. That is a nice looking log. That saw is cutting like butter.

  • your just having too much fun

  • ported vs non ported, which saw will give more years of service?

  • sugi-hara bar? i just put one on my 441

  • Gotta love the 066/660! They are great right out of the box. The 650 isn't too bad either. That oak looks like what we call "post oak" around here which is a type of white oak.

  • i own the same saw its great for the 3 foot across silver firs

  • I've heard advice from old timers in the logging business who say "never interfere with natural selection."

  • MONSTER *___________*

  • Love my MS660, we've used it running a shorter bar before and it rips. Love it

  • That is one sweet 660 mag. Your cutting is awesome I am very impressed. I think some people go outside in bubblewrap. It's awesome leave him alone.

  • Safety aside, you handle the saw well!

  • Now I know why good oak lumber costs so dam much...the good stuff is wasted like this.

  • @koaheart black oak is not in the same category as other oaks like red & white.

  • cuts fast

  • HOLY SHIT!

  • If thats for firewood, i wanna come to your bonfires :D

  • LIKE BUTTER

  • That is a badass saw!!!

  • Thumbs Up!

  • he dont need safety gear to cut up firewood lmao

  • Hey, nice saw! Nice work too. Did you do the porting?

I think some people could cut themselves with their own shoe...I assume you did not disinfect the saw before touching it either?

  • This is what a 660 is about!!!!!!!

  • Thats the saweetest saw i've seen on here man!

  • Safety isn't youre biggest concern

  • you running full skip? chisel? semi chisel?

  • Nice saw, nice cutting, thanks for posting! I look at a log like that and see some awesome clear lumber, bar tops, wide plank flooring, posts and beam, etc., unless I'm mistaken. I admit it's fun to cut a big straight log into blocks though. Thanks for showing us your saw!

  • wmd !!!

  • That thing isa beast! Look at dust storm!

  • Fuckin saw mill!!! Sharp chains make big chunks of saw dust!

  • Thats awesome, I want a saw just like that, whats the bar and chain specs?

  • Big tree sound machine good

  • I'M A PLANTER

  • My MS200 cuts faster !

  • Their doin

  • I own a stihl ms 880 and a dolmar ps 7900 so and I've been around saws my whole entire life so I know what the hell I'm talkin about your just an idiot with alotta money that makes stupid comments to people that know what the hell

  • Actuall I run a stihl ms 880 and a dolmar ps 7900 so suck it

  • You must not like his face configuration very well if your dumb enough to not wear any saftey gear. Awsome saw though!

  • @Mitch95100 Mitch you must be one of those guys that look like Darth Vador with shoulder pads on when you break out your Homelite out of you garage once a year to prune your fruit tree.

  • @ircr450 lmfao huh? saftey what?

A man knows what he needs and doesn't need. when he knows what he's doing.

  • @ircr450 plastic saw suck though

  • @ircr450 :)) it's exactly how you say :))

  • @ircr450 Guy that uses his saw only once a year NEEDS to dress like Darth Vader. Seriously though I cut with chainsaws since the '60's. I never cut myself but managed to grab the right pant-leg 3 times in the last couple of years, all at the end of day when I was tired. I started wearing chaps (Stihl camo) recently along with plugs, safety glasses and boots as always. Hey, we thought handguard-chainbrakes were just in-the-way early on, I appreciate them now.. Man, that saw does sound right!

  • @ircr450 Dude your reply to mitch95100 is priceless, you slammed the hell out of him :):):)

  • @Mitch95100 yea one of those logs might fall up off the ground and bump his head.

  • @817heavyduty lmao

  • @Mitch95100 Shut your suck hole you fuckin echo amateur!

  • @Mitch95100 i think we still have that rite ............who knows with todays goverment

  • @Mitch95100 you must be from canada, damm hand wringers!

  • Why aren't you cutting them in lengths. Just wondering.

  • @xxbal1inxx

He is. 16" lengths to be split for firewood.

  • @turbovtec93 Those cuts don't look like 16 inches apart, maybe 10 inches.

  • stihl MS660 ..you could put a tire on it and ride it home when you`re done

  • that muffler mount yours? I also own a set but not so powerful.

  • nice sharp stihl

  • Yip, I want one. Dudes like "fuck a log splitter!" LOL!

  • @THRUTHESMOKENMIRRORS

You have to cut them into rounds before they are split. He is bucking the wood into rounds to split them later.

  • @turbovtec93 Ohhh , That is impressive regardless of my ignorance. lol Thanks

  • HOLY SHIT! Only a Stihl...........

  • Even with a relatively quiet saw, you really want hearing protection. With that beast, even more so, presuming you want to be able to hear speech & music.

Why "noodle" rounds like that all the way through, except to show off? One swat with a maul- no waste in chips.

  • who did your porting? Ive ran many 066 and 660's, and too much is never enuff.

  • like butta!

  • what a waste of a fine planking butt of Oak, that could have been a grands worth of sawn timber, hey ho, hope it burns well

  • if you make enough money to buy a stihl you should have enough money and smarts to buy saftey gear!!

You want all of your limbs... dont you?

  • I'd like to get my hands on some oak of that size!

  • Nice saw! I'd like to get my hands on some oak of that size!

  • Looks like you need the V-8 Powered chain saw :-)

  • which chain is on that bad boy?

  • is that a rsc chain you got on that bad boy??

  • no husqvarna can do that..... ace vid

  • How big is that bar?

  • thats a fine saw you got there sounds really nice...

  • How do you go about having one "ported". I have a 660 and would like to do this. Does it mess with its fuel use? Thanks!

  • du loser lern erst ma sägen mfg der 3 der s-h landesmeisterschaften

  • That saw sounds evil. It cuts that oak like a hot knife through butter. I wouldn't want to be on the business end of that saw if it kicksback. It could get real nasty.

  • Comment removed

  • how many cc's is that saw ? what type of chain are you running? looks like a real saw. thankyou

  • @1972porkchop it a 91.6 cc saw no idea wat he runs on it

  • where did you get your saw ported or how do you do it

  • Man this is one of the best vids on youtube, I never get tired of watching it. That saw is a monster.

  • You you can make nice lumber out of oak.

  • cutting like watermelon. nice saw man. be safe

  • sounds like a racing motorbike!

  • is that a washougle tshirt you have on

  • Yes it is.

  • @ircr450 you live in oragon or washington

  • @GLITCHERSxOFxAMERICA THIS IS AWESOME

  • cuts like its a 660 cc

  • Firewood? all I see is oak planks being cut up.

  • Where do you that oak log? Thousand dollar for firewood

  • man that would of made nice lumber man that tree was solid

  • Fantastic man, you make it look easy! tnx

  • sweet saw. i just got me one. its the fastest and nicest cutting saw i own. its gonna be the last one i buy for a while :) im waiting for the big bore kit for it. it will be here on fri.

  • Man, BEAUTIFUL, thats all i got.

  • so nice!..Rock and Roll!...Can I Get An AMEN! Wow!...I have a Awsome stock 395xp Huskey...but i think i might loose!

  • personally, I think porting your saw is a waste of time. lots of guys at work do it and I've tried both Stihl and Huskies.. when I was younger I even considered doing it to my saws, then I grew up. like any tool used for cutting wood, it's all in the sharpening.

  • What is the strength of the fuel/oil mixture you're using?

  • Awsome saw. The 660 in my opinion is the stand out in the magnum range. Its such a great performer. Always surprising what you can get through with a 660.

  • kick ass saw. ya buy a stihl so you dont have to buy another. i want the tree!! lots of heat there!

  • I know what you mean I love chain saw stuff, the bigger the chips the nicer the { ROOSTER TAIL ] you know chips a flyin, gotta be there to appriciate it, chipper blade only way to go !!!!!!!!!!!

  • That must have been some tough wood to bog that saw down even a little...

  • WTF where the ear protection ?? What did you say I cant hear you LOL- Stihl is still the best ever !!!!!!!!

  • @soggybuilders i dont see the need for ear protection i like the sound of the saw ripping through wood

  • @xXThermobaricXx yeah, but if you're workin' with it for about a couple of hours your ear will get harmed

  • @xXThermobaricXx Once your hearing is screwed you will be able to hear fukall

  • ottima lama veramente ben affilata!

  • Not only did StihL made good Saws

but they also made deforestation nice and fast throughout the last decades.

  • Still the baddest saw on this place.

  • That saw kicks ass 100%,

What exactly does ported mean? How many discs could you cut before you had to resharpen? Are you in New YOrk?

  • I am guessing when he says porting, like port and polish.. as clean up/inlargen the intake/exhaust ports

  • Stihl

    Made in Germany

    :->)

  • @heizung4me

Wollte ich auch gerde schreiben :-)

  • Good job! Looks like you take care of your chain and keep it sharp. Thats a man sized piece of wood and that saw took care of it with ease. All the power in the world won't cut unless you have a sharp chain.

  • i miss using a chainsaw i cut them with a harvester now but when i last used a ms660 i took the spark arrester out of the magnum muffle then on the carb turn the low screw out so it smoked alittle at idle, turn the high srew in(not recommended by stilh) just past standard setting, dont use full thottle unless under load at half throttle it sounds like its 4stoke while cutting at full rev its a bad ass saw good vid

  • nice video better one ive seen so far atleast some one knows how to use the teeth lol good job

  • hay this is dan in windzor show that time on that oak you bucked ,my place p.s my saw is still bucking.

  • Hey dude, did you port this saw ??

  • how much of a difference did you notice with cutting speed and overall power?

  • stihl: an wonderful material.

  • @ ircr450, I am serious. I actual would like to port all three of my saws, I have a 192 tce, a 260 pro and a 460 magnum.

  • anyone know where to I can go get my 460 ported??? i live in Sacramento CA.

  • If your serious send me a message and I'll let you know the details.

  • Killer saw man, but you should really adjust the chain running!!

I'm not gonna go into the safety issues about protection wear... That saw is a beast, and you cut well with it!

  • piła jest super tylko takich drzew brakuje

  • It's a shame to make firewood out of such a nice piece of wood. The first thing I think of when I see wood like that is LUMBER.

Maker firewood out of the slabs.

  • That tree just got owned!!! Nice saw mate.

  • stock chain? what's the bar size on tht?

  • how do you port the saw?

  • that thing cuts like a BEAST! very nice

  • very nicee saw great vid more pls

  • now ya gotta split it!

  • He doesn't have to wear safety gear if he doesn't want to, people.

  • I run the 660 everyday logging....yes your saw is running great but honestly i don't see it holding up in the woods..otherwisde....she sounds great!

  • What do you mean?

  • Just like slicing a zucchini.

  • NO SAFTEY GEAR ON

  • if u get hit with that saw i dont care what you have on ...........your ass is in trouble

  • who cares?

men ran power saws tht make this one look and feel like a toy back wher there where no saftey features on the saws, & no ppe.

    They did just fine..

  • agreed

  • @ineeddollars thats right, take it like a man! square in the face

  • @ineeddollars Who cares? It's his saw, his body, let him wear what he wants. That's what makes America great. Why is it in every type of recreational community (Motorcycles, Boats, etc.), that there's always some safety geek coming around trying to bust others' balls for not wearing it. Worry about yourself.

  • @crazy4honda YEAH GO CRAZY IN YA HONDA WITHOUT A SEATBELT

  • @ineeddollars Sorry, but I've never known a Honda motorcycle to be equipped with a seat belt, but with safety Nazis like you I'm sure it's just a matter of time.

  • @crazy4honda >>>>have fun on that HONDA BIG RUCKUS, LOL

  • @crazy4honda

It's because every time somebody gets hurt, everyone has to pay higher insurance bills.

  • @crazy4honda I agree with you 99% the only thing I would say is if you are going to post a video, then you should wear the gear. It's a public perception thing. Maybe not so much saws, but like ATV riders posting w/out helmets and such. News media will download the vids to show people at our worst. If your just cutting I say wear what you want.

  • @crazy4honda

I do - I do care. Because I have to pay higher insurance and pension rates when this dumbass has to retire early.

    That's why I care.

  • @crazy4honda LOL man! I can't friggin stand correct bastages. Every darn one of them that has those kind of ideas about safety will not be found actually producing logs or anything helpful to anyone else. Perhaps if I am running a chainsaw (as I have for 26 years to make a living) the safety geeks SHOULD don their chaps, hats, and goggles.....because I really am dangerous!!! lol

  • wow!!

  • who did the port work?

  • Ez brutális!!! Még sohasem láttam ennyire éles láncot! Én is fürészelek elég sokat , de igy még nem sikerült egyszer sem megéleznem!

  • Your MS660, ported and polished and even with that 28'' bar, dude that saw is getting it!!!

  • What a BEAST!!! 5 ***** NICE

  • i love stihl :X:X:X good job man..good job

  • Oak is a hardwood. Look it up. I have a bout 5 300lb rounds of Valley Oak. They had been sitting up in the Sierra Foothills for about 5 years until I snatched those bad girls up. The wood is over 100 years old! But I can't split it with just one chop of the old axe! I even have to use the wedge and sledge hammer. So Valley Oak is a hardwood. So is eucaliptus. I spent a whole summer trying to split about 10 rounds of that crap! I think I lost about 15 pounds trying too. But it was worth it campin

  • dude man cut the wood not in a foot length cut in 3' length saw you time and sharping you chain again

  • He's cutting it for firewood. Most likely cutting 14-16" lengths that will fit into a fire place.

  • if he uses it in a common wood burner a foot is a good size for cuttin logs we do a fire wood business and we cut between 16 and 18 inches or less sometimes

  • Easy in softwood, try some Australian hardwood

  • looks like oak to me . . . not softwood by any stretch of the imagination

  • oak is softwood

  • no certain species is but most r hard as hell

  • LOL, ok sure

  • @markgerrey i want to see you bite into a nice soft piece of pine and then i want to see you bite into a piece of oak and still tell me its softwood

  • yes it is a redoak very good heat and as well a snack for the 660
