  • The truly inventor of the tv color was guillermo gonzalez camarena,

want it or not, thats the true

  • 525 lines? Crappy NTSC maybe :-p

  • good lucking playing an xbox on that baird tv....

  • Guys don't use wikipedia as a source...the history of television is complex. It's best to go to "google books" website, type in "history of television" and read the previews of the books or even go to the library to pick up a copy and sit down and read.

  • Sorry Farnsworth .. the Apollo Moon Landing was Fake !

  • Like it or not guys the first broadcasting television was made 4 years before the fully electronic tv.

  • But we know today the man have never being on the moon ,,it was a fake show!!! that is why we should never believe on TV SHOW..TV was invented to disinform mankind..be aware of this box mind control!!!

  • @maciria1 Yeah because I guess the TV has misinformed us of all the death and corruption worldwide too? Get a grip! I HATE people who say the Moon Landing was a hoax, despite the amount of evidence available. And why bring up the Moon Landing on a video about the history of the television? Also if you hate TV so much why are you watching and commenting on a video about it?!

  • After 1921, it take only 15 years to get the first televised speech .....it was the one from the infame '' Hitler '' . A tool for powerful propaganda ....just ask Ed Bernays.

  • well its 2011, we have better tv's!! WE WELL NEVER BE BORED OF TVs!!!!! YAY!!!!!!!!!!

  • Wikipedia says that the inventor of Tele-Vision was Paul Nipkow.

  • @Andreasito: Farnsworth invented the first electronic television. Nipkow developed a mechanical disk process. The disk system was never commercially successful. The cathray tube system is Farnsworth's contribution.

  • john logi bear or howbout john YOGI BEAR

i bet ya thats wear the name yogi bear came from

  • Their voices are really annoying.

  • Like, this video is hosed because it goes black from 6:06 to 6:37 resulting in a 21 second information loss. Way to go, babe!

  • Lol, I sure hope those BBC lot aren't spying on me XD

  • Farnsworth was quite a visionary. In 1955, he predicted widescreen HDTV, but at twice the resolution that we have in 2011. He was a few years ahead of where we are today.

  • What about Paul nipkow?

  • is that larry parks from the jolson story at the begininng at the video?

  • I don't care what anyone says, Farnsworth is the inventor of TV.

And pt1gard: you watch too much "X Files."

  • "Felix The Cat'", The MGM lion of television!

  • 09:18 the blurp makes the guy look like he's missing an eye!

  • by the way Philo Farnsworth had over 400 patents in the end. And Einstein considered him his intellectual equal.

  • it is clear he stoled it from Farnsworth, because it looked, smelt, tasted, operated exactly like Philo Farnsworth invention, and looked, smelt, tasted, operated nothing like his lame 1923 patent of his ionoscope.

  • Why the pointless and irrelevant and distracting din throughout this documentary.Virtually all docu

  • Interesting. But why the pointless and distacting muzak on all these documentaries.Yes for dramatic affect b

  • what anti german propaganda is that ??? - the mechanical TV, The Nipkow Disc was a german invention and the most importent father of the electronic TV was clearly Manfred von Ardenne wich rafined the prototype of Max Dieckmann which he ade in 1906 !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Best propoganda tool ever created..

  • The mexican inventor Guillermo Gonzales Camarena invented a color tv transmission and receiver before NTSC was finished, that is in 1962 when mexico wanted to be a great nation as england or russia

  • I have been reading all the issues of Life Magazine on google books. They did their first story on TV in a Dec 1937 issue but they said at that time that TV was not ready for home use. It's quite interesting.

  • At my flickr page (same user name) there's a magazine article

from 1938 asking "Where does Television Stand Today?"

At YouTube, check out the Alexander Palace Television Society vids.

    BBC TV in 1936 !

    YoyTube search for 'Television Song'.

During WWII British TV shut down, but the transmitters were used as a Secret Weapon!!

(Well... more of an Electronic Countermeasure to mess with German bomber navigation.)

Look up the Non-Potter 'Wizard War'.

  • look up the patents, clearly from what i see, zworkin made it first! the patent years makes it clear. ok farnsworth had the idea, but didnt get it to work till later on, zworkin already had a basic model and it worked! clearly evidence shows zworkin is the first electronic tv! zworkins patent is even easier to understand and shows this! i see zworkin as the father of tv!

  • Zworykin stole Kálmán Tihanyi's patents. UNited Nations UNESCO considered Kálmán Tihanyi as the inventor of Television.

  • @celebration81 Logie Baird came first by many months

  • @LordGeorgeRodney Hahaha, braid made a mechanic television, which was not ancestor of electronic tv

  • @celebration81 If it's invention you have then Baird is a the 'first'

It is what inventions are all about eh?

  • @LordGeorgeRodney Bair's system was born too late. He wasn't inventor. Type: History of Television in english wikipedia

  • @celebration81 too late he invneted it before the Americans and Hungarians in 1925

  • @LordGeorgeRodney Mechanic TV is not ancestor of Electronic TV. Electronic TV was invented before mechanic tv. Mechanic tv hadn't future.

  • @celebration81 irrelevant if it didn;t have future

    it's allabout the invetion dumass!

tv is about transmission of a pciture on to a device and John Logie Baird invented that before anyone else..

  • philo t. farnworth invented the first electric tv assholes and im 15 and i knw that shit shut the fucc up and giv the man credit shit

  • Give my penis credit for inventing you!

  • Oh, and Baird's tv wasnt steam powered, what kind of nonsense is that?

  • Philo Farnsworth was an American engineer born in 1906 who researched television picture transmission. He developed the dissector tube, which is the basis of all current electronic televisions. In 1927, Philo Farnsworth became the first inventor to transmit a television image. Everyone else QUIT LYING!! RCA STOLE the idea from him. There were others in other countries but the bottom line is the same!

  • BULLSHIT - everyone know John logie Bair invented it one day watching a kettle boil,, he made the first steam powered one then RCA STOLE his invention

  • Baird's invention was the mechanical tv, not the electronic one.

  • no zworkin already had a patent a few years before farnsworth! clearly it was zworkin because of patent years and also that would mean zworkins notes were first!

  • Did you know color tv came out in1953

  • @peugeotrider2012 The first non-experimental color broadcast was in 1943, when Jerry Lewis headlined a program that was beamed from NYC to Princeton Univ., specifically for the enjoyment of Dr. Albert Einstein. No kidding... go look it up!

  • Sorry , he was not the inventor of electronic television. Hungarian Kálmán Tihanyi invented the electronic tv in 1926. UNESCO WORLD HERRITAGE Check it!

  • Philo Farnsworth invented the first completely electronic tv

  • thats cool

  • WTF ??????????????????

  • You are such an idiot . If you dont know something go search it up in google.

  • Everyone recommends fucking Google or Wiki!

    Read books!!! Books!!! *sigh*

  • Guillermo Gonzalez Camarena

    Inventor of the Color Tv

  • It is ALL because of than thanks to TESLA! HE is NOT either and without him you would not be reading this, and in the dark as well (maybe oil lamps!) BUT FARNSWORTH INVENTED IT ALL!

  • Nobody talks about Guillermo Gonzales Camarena becouse he is Mexican but he invented the Color tv!

  • VIVA MEXICO,,

  • The Mexican Gonzalez Camarena invented the TV color television system

  • González Camarena invented the "Chromoscopic adapter for television equipment", an early color television transmission system. A U.S. patent application (2,296,019) states

  • Guillermo Gonzalez Camarena , Mexican , Inventor of the Color Tv

    Guillermo Gonzalez Camarena

  • that woman's makeup at 3.00 was horrifying.

  • I think you mean whorrifying lol

  • HAHA!! yea lol

  • Paul Schatzkin (see 03:57 in this video) wrote a book which has the title "The Boy Who Invented Television" and names Farnsworth as that boy.

Isn't that ridiculous? All Farnsworth did was better the original ideas that were in places since he was 3 years old. Hardly his "invention".

  • Farnsworth was an American pioneer of electronic Television and John Logie Baird was the British Pioneer of mechanical TV in the 1920s and 1930s.

  • I've heard of many countries claiming to have invented television (Britain, Germany, Japan, America) but never an Australian!

  • lol, television screens. Who remembers those?

  • they make alot of things Americans tell them to make.

  • Yeah we give them shiny beads or some crap and they make it.

  • Yes !!!!!! it is true!!

  • This is pretty cool. Someone should put up RCA's "The Reasons Why" it's a film about how RCA manufactured TV's in the 1950's.

  • whats with the pause in the middle thought something was going to pop out. want to see more please
