What an awesome idea! Thanks for sharing the how-to. Where did you get your "Arrow" paper? Just another tip: One can also "paint" the screws the same color as the paper using a waterproof marker, paint or fingernail polish, just so the white doesn't stand out. Love it!
I was very inspired by your decoupage art on switch plates and made a few. Just wanted to say thanks for putting up the tutorial. Also, I have mentioned your video on my blog as my inspiration. you can visit my blog to see my creations!. Thanks once again for such a creative inspiration.
@nescalada That's a good question. I made up a template to use to help me with size and placement. I also often print a draft and hold it next to the switchplate in front of a light to make sure it's the size and placement I want. I think that is the easiest way to make sure your image is the way you want it.
I typically use the larger switchplates but they all vary in size. Measure yours to get a better idea of what your image size should be. I hope this helps.
Quick question. Did you use a printed out image? I would like to use printed out images on a project im doing, but was wondering in the mod podge would possible make the ink run?
Yes, I printed my image myself. It depends on your printer and ink, not the mod podge. I'd let the ink dry, then dab the first layer of mod podge first. If you brush it, it is more likely to smear. Black is the color to watch most.
I hope that helps. Let me know if you have other questions!
thanks! I'm thinking about trying this so I come on here to find out how to do it urs was the first I found.. I'd paint the screws tho, like for the arrow paint the screws red to match it so it doesn't stick out so bad
i was wondering if the paper on the inside would catch fire/ not be safe?

I love this but I have a question if you're printing out an image what dimensions do you make the image so it fits perfectly?
