further to what others have said, it would surely be false modesty for federer to sit there and say...well its mostly luck, i dont have any special talent...and i think that would be more insulting to the other players in a way because if he attributed his success purely to hard work then it would be implying that run-of-the-mill players dont work hard...of course this is not true, federer simply has natural gifts that they do not

So you basically changed his words and misquoted him to get your agenda across that you think he's arrogant when he's being honest. You also forgot to mention the part where he says, "I work hard." @sportstennis1 Yeah you're so right...unfortunately, ego/arrogance often partners great champions...it's kind of hard to be one of the GOAT without one or both of those bad qualities...

Most won't agree, but I think he laughed here just to mask his ego...Mirka has been saying his ego is through the roof practically since day one, so when he says things like this, I don't find it amusing. Had Serena, Sampras, etc. made a comment as such, laughing or not, they would be booed out of the press room probably.
And before anyone pulls the "Federer is different from the others because of his level of class", let us remember that he's been known to react just as poorly to losing.
