i dont think there gonna rip down starliner, its a much better coaster as far as reliability and age goesvrs. the ttripple hurrican, but the starliner is a more teen coaster...screw that tho, they should make a all teen park, withj crazy straight down drops and loops, theyd make more money that way, not on little kids
darn they destroyed the starliner but at least they are keeping a few of the coasters including the triple hurricane and the gardens itself and the waterpark
this park was def the worst park i've ever been to. gladly they sold it to lego brand but still legoland will prob suck cuz it's for little kids. but yeah cypress gardens sucked because it didn;t feel like a theme park but more like a fairground. it needed better rides that were smooth and professionally made like from b&m. but yeah good luck lego brand make it an amazing park!
boooo we dont want anymore little kiddie parks booooooooooo. don't these people realize that parks that include thrill rides AND kids rides are the ones that are majorly successful? disney world for example has the thrill rides but also the kids rides. cmon legoland! put some awesome coasters or thrill rides!
omfg. this was my favourite place in the world, and now its been bought over by lego. off all people, fukin lego. brilliant. there goes my summer i planned on spending in cypres gardens.
I went to legoland CA because i love legos, i'm 12 and was very disapointed. Besides the robot arm ride the park is really for ages 2-9 if even, to appeal to higher ages i beleive they should have better coasters, add loops and faster sppeds please, they want to appeal to 9-12 year olds so have some more things for them. The "4-D" films there aren't anything like 4-D films anywhere else, the chairs don't move, the characters don't speak, although they are mini-figs. in my opinion it's just 3-D.
I live in the UK, and we have a Legoland in Windsor. There was a great roller coaster there called The Jungle Coaster, which I loved as a kid, and I here it is being shipped over to Legoland Florida!
Some of these reporters questions ("are you keeping the gardens", "are you keeping the rides?", "are you keeping the southern belles?", "are you keeping the water ski show?") makes me think that they don't get the point that they are not re-opening Cyprus Gardens. I know that guy said "they'd have to review it", but I can tell you right now that of course they aren't keeping the southern belles. No one drives all the way out to Polk County for that. That only attracts old people.
@KWalsh554 I guess they have to ask because Cypress Gardens did exist for about 70 years and built up a significant amount of history in the state of Florida. And I'm sure local residents are interested in these kinds of things, especially those who enjoy the water ski shows. And while they probably won't have live southern belles, they could always build some out of legos and put them at the entrance to the garden portion.
I don't know if they're expanding the park or making one from scratch. It would make sense if they were just expanding, but if they're making it from scratch, it wouldn't make sense because Legoland Florida already exists.
it annoys me that i love lego as a kid and now but since they canned bionicle one of my favorite lego sets ever and i want to protest against lego till they bring it back. but i want to go to legoland so much.
legoland california gave some great memories to me and my family. i can't believe they're making one here in florida! hopefully more memories will be made for future generations!
so it's the same legoland in a different area???
