  • am i missing something cause I can't find the last video...help...

  • no finished look?

  • i wonder how often women at this time wached their hair? it just seems like so much work for something you'll wash out in a day or two

  • FUCK! YOU ARE SUCH AN ARTIST, BRAVO MY DEAR! BRAVO! teach me!

  • Can't find the finished look video - somebody help please.

  • You are are very good at your craft and would love to see more, and like others have said, better lighting or with blonde hair. Bravo. Great teacher too by the way.

  • Gentle sugestion: Do the next video on a blond...or learn to use a light meter.

  • OMG you didnt put a part 3 WHAT THE FUCK GIRL!!?

  • omg my heart is beating so fast like a movie getting to the climactic moment

  • so coplicated yet simply beautiful!

  • HOW THE HELL WAS A GIRL SUPPOSED TO DO THIS ON THEIR OWN BACK THEN?

  • @MissAmanDuhMad She didn't. She went to a hairdresser. Then for a week, she slept on a satin pillowcase, or wore a silk scarf around her head to sleep in. After a week, she went back to the hairdresser. That's what my grandmother was still doing in her old age in the 1970's.

  • where is part 3 video ??? the finished look ?? i missed it lol where is it ????

  • A lot of people are talking 1920s when they should be 1930s, not all 30s styles were flat against the head (Jean Harlow, Ginger Rogers anyone?) - even in the 20s not everyone committed to a sleek style, though it was the order of the day for many women in the decade. However the amount of volume in this tutorial is borderline 80s, and that doesn't reflect the decade (nor does Clara, who I believe left the screen for her children in like 32 or 33 and is therefor more of a 20s starlet).

  • That being said, it seems like a good, all be it different, way of doing things though I think we would all love to see how it turns out in pt3!

  • the videos would be good, if we could have seent the end product

  • very clear and best demo seen however where is part 3 with the finished look and how the ringe was dealt with??

  • @DropOutCircus

While Clara Bow did in fact have a great deal of volume, her hair wasn't typical of the 1930's style. She sort of added her own flair to what was popular.

I think this is gorgeous, but agree that the video should probably specify Clara Bow in the title rather than the 1930's. The two are not synonymous.

  • I agree, there shouldn't be any curling for volume and backcombing for the '30s finger wave. The look should be pretty flat against the head and the waves are traditionally created with the fingers & clips...thus the term "finger waves".

  • Nice techique........however this so not 1930's.......maybe funky 50's. There was no backcombing or this much volume in 30's hair.

  • Untrue. She references Clara Bow, who had a great amount of volume in her styling. While Bow's volume probably came from her hair's natural curl, the backcombing in this video nicely replicates natural body in hair that is not so texturized to begin with.

  • love it but hard to see make more vids plZZZZZZZZ :)

  • is there any possible way you can do this but on someone with longer hair? perhaps shoulder lenght?? and maybe use a model with lighter hair?? i would love to see the outcome for this rather than on short hair.

  • yes you can do it for someone with longer hair to get cascading waves....just do each row section of hair going in opposite directions

  • very informative and its all in the details ditto about the lighting comments. glad it was on dry hair!

  • it would have been a great video if i could see what was going on. next time get better lighting or use a blonde :(

  • it could have been very good, but the room is so dark and so is her hair and it kind of blends in to the background, which makes it very hard to see

  • very instructive

  • wow, i cant believe you guys have your own channel, my friends go to your salon all the time!! i hear great things about you guys, very preofessional and thorough :)

  • these videos are wonderfully instructive. please do more!

  • i loved your video, but you need to get either a better quality camera, or better lighting, you can barely see the detail, and after all, isn't that the point of a tutorial?

  • nice tutorial but the link doesn't work it is saying it's forbidden..kinda wanted to see the finshed product.

  • Did you ever make a part three that shows the hairstyle from the front? I have short hair and have a very hard time getting it to look vintage.

  • I would like to see more hair styles you do but you really cant see the ones you have now it's to dark.

  • @LadyLisa513

It's poor lighting, not the hair colour

  • @Elwoodblues87 Im sure its beautiful.

  • could redo this like on little color hair, your salon is dark and the girls hair is dark. we can only see it the shapes only thur the shine. fkl or putting light directly on the hair.

  • wow, you should make more of these.

  • Hard to see on dark hair.

  • I was just going to say that it should have been done in blond hair

  • or had a bit more lighting...i think it doesn't show as much cause you have dark hair and a dark background...i think a sort of lamp may have helped a little. but at least its descriptive, so its somewhat easy to follow along
