Ok, I've been reading posts from years ago & I just want to say this: it's true we didn't do very well and we KNOW it. tickets weren't selling well, we weren't in good spirits. however, despite whatever people were saying, we managed to pull the best out when we had to. I felt good singing during SYF, more so than during this concert and guess what? We got Gold with Honours then, a few months before this concert.
This isn't the best eg of our singing but we till rocked it when we needed to.

How can a primary school choir compete with a secondary school choir who won GWH? Tht's impossible. Secondary sch choirs are different t primary schools.

BRAVO! how about this? the choir shown here has won gold with honours twice (the max no. achievable in case u don't know since u've never gotten it before). so oh wells, unless u're doubting the professionism of the judges, u can blame the sub-standard(whether presumed or not) of the chorale shown in this video either on the lousy recording device or on your arrogance ("this choir cant compete with my cHoir") topped with your lack of PROPER appreciation for chorale music..

i understand that you posed this comment two years ago, and i am not from this choir at all - but, they ARE an audition group and they are considered one of the elite SECONDARY SCHOOL choirs in singapore. these kids were only 13-16 then, which shows incredible technical training with some lapses in between. it's a concert, and they did well.

It's okay! I'm from that choir and we performed there! This is one of the worst performances that we ever had and I felt pretty bad for most people who actually paid to watch us. It was really amateurish, but we always improve! (: It was really a fluke, being our first concert and all and it made us really worried and nervous. chery, I think you should pause before you say "be impressed everyone!". I was from RV choir, grad in 1996. During the time, the sound seriously wasn't this bad. Your "Battle of Jerico" really lacks punch, the sound is dead and sometimes the sections take out. We were being criticised for being expressionless back then, I am really disappointed that the situation still hasn't improved. If you didn't get gold, it was because you guys weren't good enough.

okay - this does not sound good. everyone sounds so young. and the voices are not directed well - slip-ups such as sliding around to get to upper notes are all over this video. and the upper voices (soprano/tenor) in at the end of the day are really flat. this is not good. everything is punched and there is not much musical expression. individual voices stand out. and the diction is horrible!
i think the choir looks rather dead. i attribute it to the costume. lime green and grey dun go together. you guys didn't have the song internalised also.. MST MOVE WITH THE SONG!!

I am from RV, 2007 now i am sec 2 and i feel that the batch this year for chorale is performing very well. They sang ALOT better than this.
