Lady commentator on Shoushunova's vault: "I can hardly criticize it." If Elfie Schlagel was there, she would have picked it apart until Shoushunova would have been lucky to get a 9.2. I like these British commentators - so polite and respectful.

thanks no problem-more to come! i know, i am a massive 80's gym fan especially 89 worlds. but your right bars was pretty run of the mill. i think the chinese sorted that out in the 90's and Kim Gwang Suk!

maybe b/c the bars were changing so much in those years? the space in between and such? But still you had the Gurova mount, Ricna release, Shushunova release, Ma dismount, and counter-Kim salto being invented all in the 80's. Plus the amazing mounts of Dudnik and Strazeva, and amazing routines of Gnauck, Silivas, Strazeva, Ma, Fan Di, etc.
