  • They're not called Fisher cat's.... They're not felines.

  • @Thoughtland it's bad enough that you call biscuts crossiants and robins thrushes, but I agree with you about the weasel.

  • Highly likely this Fisher had rabies. They would not attack a person like that. I hope the boy received the rabies vaccine series.

  • Don't those fuckers bite open the throats of chickens and drink their blood?

  • I WOULD KILL THAT FISHER CAT MAKE THEM GO EXCINT AND DIE TO HELL WITH FISHER CATS

  • I have seen fisher cats in my woods in massachussettes and theyre small but deadly

  • "fisher cats" as well. Someone told me that we had them around here (in MA), and I was like "umm - no. 'Fishing cats' are an endangered cat located only in Southeast Asia.". Then I find out that people are just calling these weasel-things "cats" and I was "ah, ok - so people are just being retarded.".

  • @SpeedDemon46 i know right but i just call them fishers

  • Actually, I am an American and I think it's pretty dumb to call these animals "fisher cats

  • His leg was all bloodied

  • Its bad enough they can't spell and call croissants biscuits and thrushes robins, but calling a weasel a cat?

    Get a dictionary America!

Its NOT a cat. Its one of these watch?v=pACaNzQXn4o

  • I think people sound so dumb when they say fisher cat. Just call it a fisher.

  • @Masowai you think people sound dumb when they call something by its actual name?

  • @deathmarkclark1 Yes, it sounds dumb. Just call it a fisher. Another example of this ignorance is the civet cat. No, they are not cats. Call them CIVETS since they have no relation to felines. Ignorance in the past has led people to believe that these two animals were related to cats. Nowadays, we know they're not related, but we still like to add "cat" on to every goddamn animal. Quite annoying.

  • It's probably rabid. It's not normal for it to attack something bigger than itself or attack a backpack. Hope the kid is okay.

  • @Tatooinedragracer fishercats will go after anything they think they can kill and a six year old boy isnt much bigger than they are

  • oh no what's the yuppie community to do? There's wildlife in the woods and they act wild! hurry call the cops and lets shoot everything in sight thats native and wild! Cause lord knows we all love having your yuppie whineass littering douchebags in our woods! na prob not!

  • I like how he said "The white.." before correcting himself and saying the mother.

  • @SavFTW he was starting to say "The wife..."

  • Fisher Cats cry like babies. Its very scary to hear them at night. Ever hear one?

  • I tell you what bubba, if you gone on down their, ol'by the crick you gone geet you one of dem fishas... i say thier, hal-n-da-hell bubba dats good eatin..

  • Just more evidence humans are getting too far into the woods with their fucking suburban spread...

I grew up around Fisher Cats, even at night when they were stalking me, they wouldn't come within sight, they keep their distance...

It isn't like them to come right out and attack a human.

  • that one was hungry,I saw one once a cpl of years ago,,I live in Ct,they say there are thousands of them here, but they stay deep in the woods

  • relatives of weasels , hah . more directly related to the wolverine family

  • had to be rabid. they are nocturnal animals who avoid humans whenever possible

  • fisher killed my cat and my neighbors cat 2 days earlier

  • @airrick16

this can kill a cat ?

    no way

  • @sakal88 what makes u say that? a male fisher can way 18 lbs, have vicious dispostition, superior predators, and are widely known to kill cats and small dogs.

  • @sakal88 wbztv.com/local/fisher.cat.Sudbury.2.590028.html

  • @airrick16 there's no dash in address/link..its "sudbury"

  • @airrick16

dont know what links this are but cant find them

  • @sakal88 yes they kill cats they can weight up to 40 lbs

  • @TheAnimalDen

still its weird, cat has a bigger jaw and its bigger overall

  • @sakal88 house cats ? or bob cats ?

  • @TheAnimalDen

house cat, those are the one it eats

  • @sakal88 umm well...*closes eyes* no...see house cats dont stand a chance against fishers...fishers teeth are hooked and curved..one bite on the neck or on the chest would kill the cat..with ease...look up fishers on google..they have been more respobsnile for cat deaths then coyoties..

  • @TheAnimalDen

hmmm.. OK, so a pet mink would be better :-)

  • @sakal88 their nasty just get a ferret :)

  • lol

  • chances are the fisher was sick, pos rabid. Normally they stay away from people and keep to themselves. We have them up in Franklin/Walton on our place. Growing up and wandering around alone there, as I still do today, it's something I never feared...then again I had a friendly cyot that "babysat" me from a distance. I think I was more uneasy knowing there were wild dogs - including a beagle, running around. Fishers are also the only things that seem to know how to kill porcupines...

  • I live in hopkinton and one night i heard those crazy cry's they make at night and i was just sitting there smoking a cigarette when one jumps over my tiny fence at a running pace and running towards me. scared shitless because i didnt know exactly what it was but it was as big as a medium size dog and moving at about the speed of a sprinting dog. i stand up and yell when it gets closer to me to let it know im there and hopefully scare it away. but didnt work an i ran inside like i little girl

  • The boy probally pet it thinking it was a stray cat kids are stupid

  • @IndigoCat17 You can just call the animal a "fisher." It is NOT a cat, nor does it resemble one. A fisher looks/behaves more like a wolverine or badger and it is tougher than just about any other North American animal. No animal within it's natural habitat can kill it with any regularity. I'm surprised that the kid wasn't devoured once blood was drawn.

  • @usaisadump Thank you . It is a fisher and NOT a fisher cat!

  • OMG a stupid lil fihsre cat attacking a lil boy sooo scary it's a fihsher cat its the size of my foot!!!

  • i would sit on it then duct tape its moulth and paws together if it attacked some one i knew..... then bring it to the police and tell them "i thought there were no fishercats in NY"

  • Mr Chan says, "Ohh, yoo don haf too wolly bout dat stoopid cat no mo!! He make a velly goood Dim Sum Kitty chowdah. oooohh me n my brutiful Rife rikey velly much!! Ohh shank yoo shank yoo!!"

  • ok people if ur calling it "cat" then why in the hell do they randomly attack someone's ass off yeah would u like to keep the damn "cat"???

  • holy crap that's just scary xD!!

  • Most people don't understand that they were brought here by humans to kill hedgehogs. But why try to kill on of those guys when you can eat someone's cat. They have no predictors and if no one hunts them there would be a ton of them. And don't underestimate them they can be vicious. My parents witnessed one trying to kill a newborn fawn. It ripped the poor things eye out and was trying to finish it off when my dad scared it off. It was just sad that the fawn ran away to so I doubt it lived.

  • Fishers nest in trees from April to July. This was probably a mother protecting her kits.

  • Oh brother. Stupid comments. Wish they'd stop attaching "cat" onto the name; it's a Fisher. They don't want much to do with humans. The kid was probably harassing it. I'm voting for the Fisher.

  • i hate the way they hunt them down... their not like humans that are aware that they shouldn`t hurt another human being they are wild animals.. leave em alone

  • I hate those little bastards. One attacked my cat in my backyard, I saw it and grabbed a knife...the rest is self-explanatory. good news is my cat is still alive:D

  • Then keep your cat indoors moron. I seriuosly doubt you were to get a hold of the fisher. I would love to smear peanut butter all over you and your cat and tie you both to a tree and see what nature brings us.

  • @tyranus226 wtf? why'd ya circumsize em? Oh yeah, I guess "Fisher" is a Jewish last name..

  • kids are there natural prey-can't argue with nature

  • Early this morning my dad was out side and one hopped out of a tree and tried to kill my dog but my dad KICKED it right in the face and it ran back up in the tree

  • they are not at all intimidated by us humans!

I had a face off with one years ago here in the woods of Mills. I backed off! It didn't snarl or bare teeth or anything, it was just the way it looked at me. Very chilling and very humbling......

I'm pretty sure one got my cat two weeks ago :o(

  • my dad said the same. it`s like a death stare

  • i remember back in 63. the great fisher hunt. we killed all those rascals...or at least we thought. i'm too old now. we need someone to fight em off again.

  • fuck off

  • Scary little creatures. I just found out they live in my area. Yuck...

  • my dog foguht with one before hahah yeah there good little scarpers

  • Thanks for posting this - I saw one in my backyard today (in MA) and wasn't sure how dangerous they could be. Now I know!
