Theres also a trend that more college students believe in ghosts than when they got there. Again, a trend, doesn't make it causation. 80% of the population is religious but more than half the world can read and wright. Not the case even 30 years ago.

Islam is spreading faster in Africa. & xtianity is spreading through South America faster.If you knew the indigenous religions of some of these places, or worse, were forced into practicing them with little choice, both would be a relief. The Bible & Qu'ran might be littered with atrocities, but only a few fringe groups(WB, Catholics) actually focus on them as a way to live life.

Religion is a way of seeing this world. Unsure whether he is clear about his own ideas of seeing this world. (Looks to me that he is troubled in terms of knowing his own way of seeing this world.) in other words, his knowledge regarding other Christians or believers only comes from his ethnic backgrounds and his own knowledge which can't be used as absolute resource for religious discussion. Lewis Black IMO may be the best comedian out there today. He writes his own jokes, he never tells the same one twice, he takes complex concepts and ties them together, and can actually have a conversation with someone while still causing them to bust a gut.
