@mKwi9FUG8N "i love to singa" was a song written by harold arlen and e.y.harburg for the 1936 warner bros. feature film, "the singing kid." later, a merrie melodies cartoon released on july 18, 1936 by warner bros. and vitaphone. the use of this song here to show the alien control over cartman is quite clever and hilarious.
i like this show much more than the simpsons--makes me laugh more. this "cartman gets an anal probe" is one of the best. i think they had ufo alien abduction godfather whitley strieber in mind. i once heard strieber on the radio, commenting on this episode and how offended he felt--"lampooners!" he called them. but come on, strieber made a cool one million dollars on his first alien abduction book, "communion," so as for south park's satiric attack on him, i find it hard to feel sorry for him.
It's a scene that you can't stop watching..
