Every time I go to the record store they never have the DT cds that I want. They have six degrees for $27 and as amazing as that album is, dropping that money would not support dream theater as much as the record companies. I also need train of thought and metropolis before that...

I think differently about it... internet is just a way to communicate across long distances, so it actually IS part of reality, it's nothing virtual is nothing fake. They would mostly have toget permission from Warner Bros.I recall Deepsigned by warner. So terrific .what ever they sell they can split between deep and warner. But sales are not going to be good on b-minus cover material. So bfd. But the deepmusic is the best music they ever played(badly). I'm just sure of it. yes they covered Made in Japan. It's on their "Official Bootleg" list of albums...along with Number of the Beast, Master of Puppets, and Dark Side of the Moon. You can buy them from the DT website. I have all but Made in Japan, and I'll have that one soon.
They're live recordings of DT covering the entire album front to back, often without announcing it to the audience first.
For those unfamiliar with DT, they like to pay honor to their inspirations. These albums are done in that spirit.

I switched from Sabian to Zildjian. Zildjians are good to my ears. Especially their Oriental China Trash cymbals, they're amazing! I hear a lot of good things about Meinl and I'm thinking about using Meinl soon.

I personally believe that beig "progresive" means taking any music to a new level of artistic credibility, doing something thats never been done before, expanding frontiers. not just odd-time signatures and "complexity".i consider that pink floyd is one of the most progresive bands ever, and most of their songs are simple(in the most beautiful way) and in 4/4. and i do think dt is progresive

And just to add to this incoherent argument, progressive is a term in music referring to various elements of music changing throughout a song, an album, or a band, such as key, time signatures, tempo and dynamics. Take DT, who may go through 50 tempo changes in a song versus any hip hop artist whose songs never change key, tempo, time signature, etc. There is something for you brain to chew on for a while.
