  • Just absolutely wonderfull... Very relaxing song

  • Magical sounds. Keep em coming for the uninitiated. Great post.

  • There are 3 people who have absolutely No Idea what music is. Such is Life.

  • The flow of your melody is really neat. I like it heaps. Thanks heaps for posting this for us Vicky.

  • I'm a musician of many years and enjoyed this very much, so don't be so hard on yourself (as you are in the caption).

  • amazing,wonderful xxxx

  • Hi Vicky, nice tune!

  • very nice tune..you look like you're thinkin of sitting in a nice comfy chair and eating a delicious red, or yellow crisp apple...

  • Well done, but not ear catching. Like the style, though!

  • Bellows blown pipes seem such a waste of energy and focus on the notes.. I mean can't they perfect a mouth blown system that keeps moisture off the reeds of these smaller instruments?

  • @apologeticsman I think the opposite is true. What a waste your opposite arm is when not using bellows. I play Highland, Uilleann and Small pipes. Sadly my Small pipes don't have a bellows intake. I can play bellows blown pipes all night, and never have to worry about my mouth getting tired. I think your arm muscles are better at stamina then your lungs, lips, and cheeks.

  • Beautiful, thank you for posting this:)

  • Heilsa Pipervix, I had to sell my Kilberrys due to asbestosis, but I can't stay away, and the beautiful way you play, has this old man buying a set of smallpipes, may you continue to bless us all.

  • The tune is wonderful, I play myself the France Cornemuse, and the elctronic Highland pipe, witch has also the possibility to play the scottisch lowborder.

Is there a possibility that you can send me the sheet music?

  • @deurdicht a link to the music is inluded in the more info section on the right -->

    Good Luck!

  • Thank you very much.

  • blimey! Even lovelier. I love the sound of pipes and that floats my boat. Thank you xxxxx

  • sweet

  • Your Apples & Chairs is a really neat tune. Is there any chance of you writing some "seconds" for it...????? Please.....

    SqueezeBox

  • excuse me but is there a differance between how you play those pipes and great highland pipes?....and is there a diff in the hand holds of a irish uillean pipe and the high land pipes?....

  • The fingering is the same as on the Great Highland Bagpipe, but they're smaller and have a different reed. I don't play Highland or Uillean, so can't say if there is a difference or not.

  • @pipervix the only difference between the great highlands and small pipes (apart from the reed and tone and what not) is that it's much more open to interpretation and ornaments are not so heavily used or focused on. it's much more musical rather than technical i think.

  • Nice work. Thanks for sharing.

  • Lovely Tune, nice Pipe, i love it.!!!

    Danke, danke!!!!

  • Fantastisch! Geweldig! Bedankt!

    Fantastic, Grate! and Thanks !

  • Wow!!! ...Good Look'n, AND... Plays the pipes!, I'm in LOVE!, I Play The Highland Bagpipes, Flute, and Accordion, we can make some beautiful music, Love the choice of song Played.

  • lol...i want to learn how to play the accordion too...

  • Very very nice.

  • You had a lot of open C's

  • On a Small Pipe chanter it really does not matter.

  • don't be so self-conscious...

    just play...

  • beautifull!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • You and your music are absolutely stunning! This is the most beautiful pipe tune I've ever heard!

  • Bravo! This tune is fabulous !

    But who is DIXON?

  • Thank's for posting the music. I'm just starting out on pipes, and it is a good finger workout, as well as pretty tune. Cheers!

  • Wunderschön,

endlich mal musik und nich artistik.

    vielen dank

    Thank you very much!

  • that a cool song did you wright it and nice set of smallpipes i play smallpipes, fireside pipes, and northumbrian smallpipes

  • Very cool!! This is the first time I heard the sound of scottisch smallpipes, and I liked it :0

Great playing!! btw, I have the same problem: having the ability to read sheet music is both a blessing and a curse ;)

  • That tune is delightful :) I think the title suits it.

  • Very nice, very nice! Love the tune, did you write that?

I am also looking to meet a single female piper! Just wondering!

  • do you play the highland pipes as well?

  • nope, just the Scottish Smallpipes (and sometimes the border pipes)

  • can you explain the differnce between scot. small pipes and border?? please not the physical difference; but the difference in origin. is it true that the 'modern day'version of the scot. smallpipes is actually based on (englsih)northumbrian pipes? are the border pipes closer to the pastoral/union/uillean pipes?

  • i love this tune, your pipes sound exellant

and the counter melodys are fantastic

    thank you for sharing this.

  • So the question is, do you give lessons by webcam-IM?
