if it was real life the results would be the same. the shield would be made out of metal that is nearly impossible to destroy. and the armor would have the same amount of protection. besides, how the fuck would now how long the shield would last? as for bringing gundam to real life, you should be saying building real gundams. first off, you would need a hell of a lot of metal. as well as a place to build it, and your garrage would not be big enough, so dont even try. interesting idea though.

Something as TALL and HEAVY as a Gundam WOULD get knocked down by a tank. Don't try to fanboy it, giant robots are impractical in the real world. It isn't so much it wouldn't be sturdy but it wouldn't be able to balance itself, as it is based on a bipedal human figure. Wanna know something about humans? We only survived because we were more intelligent and made weapons, almost all other animals close to our size beat us in every aspect but intellect.

Im actually not a fanboy i only watched gundam when i was 6 and im rewatching G Gundam now. I don't know much about anything other than G Gundam. But i get what your saying it could be taken down. that doesnt mean that people wouldnt start panicking anyway and maybe when its built it will have enormously large heels and things that come from its back to balence =P

@SSDrei Something tall and heavy as a Gundam WOULDN'T get knocked down by a tank as the shells wouldn't have enough impact velocity to down something that heavy. It might slide back or stumble but even then, it'll have shock absorbers, a shield or a decent pilot who knows how to move out of the way. Tanks vs Gundam, Gundam wins thanks to better maunverability, defenses and offenses.

If a tank shell isn't going fast enough, which a tank shell DOES go fast enough to knock something as massive as a Gundam over... Realistically. In the Gundam universe it works because LOLPHYSICS but we are talking about realistically.
