Clutch didn't get popular by letting Left4Dead2 use Electric Worry on their trailer. They really started to make it big when they released 10001110101 and Mob Goes Wild which was quite a while ago. If anything, it was the Jackass guys who helped boost their popularity by using their music in their shows and movies and at some points even directing their music videos. It was also file sharing on the internet that helped them get noticed. Fallon even condones the use of sharing music on the net.
