Well sung by three Hong Kong singers who natively speak Cantonese singing in Mandarin for the Asian Games, hosted by the mainland city Guangzhou (from which Cantonese originated). With respect to Mandarin and its importance in use as a universal standard Chinese dialect, I believe they should have sung more songs in Cantonese to promotion the Cantonese dialect. China with its rich culture should embrace its diversity and should not wipe out the use of other dialects.
