if that works for you, fine - add the 450' - as for the car crash scene, was he really going 80 or is that you again just "adding" 25mph to get your point across? ;-) ------- obviously if he's doing 55 & jumps out & does the old Tuck & Roll technique for automobile disengaging, still you'd expect he would have some bruises for sure, of worse. don't forget tho', IT's A Movie. - it's cool, not trying to argue with your points but like Any other Action flick, not Everything applies to Real Life

I love hte MI series, although i am biased towards the movie series since i have been a fan of the old TV show since the 90s and have fond memories of my dad taking me to see MI1/MI2.

As for john woo, MI2 defiantly wasn't his best but none of his american work compares to his foreign stuff (The Killer, Hard Boiled, Bullet in the Head, A Better Tomorrow etc)

I actually really loved M:I:3; I think it's my favorite slightly. I love 1 as well, and don't really care for 2. I'm a BIG Brad Bird fan, though (The Iron Giant, The Incredibles, Ratatouille), and what I love about the guy is that his animated films are directed like live-action films, and he understands characters and story as well as awesome action scenes. I feel like this one will end up being my favorite.

I enjoyed the first 3 M:I films, all were good action popcorn fun no matter how outrageous the stunts were. Yes I do remember scenes from M:I 3... actually it had 2 of the most thrilling scenes..... Bomb going off in head, shooting "girlfriend" in the head. Did you go see this more for M:I 4 or for the Dark Knight Rises Prologue?

John, have you seen the Iron Giant? It was Brad Bird's directorial debut. A great animated film, one of my all time favorite movies, and I think it's even better than The Incredibles. It is an almost perfect film for me. It doesn't have as much action in it as The Incredibles but I think it has more heart.
