Andre's game was somewhat too showy during his long hair days when he's just smacking balls but can not mixed his shots against the top guns esp. lendl who during his prime in the late 80's could easily dictates the tempo, no wonder lendl was a US-open finalist in 8 consecutive years. at least andre learned his lessons and start piling up more titles in the 90's, good luck andre

Best player ever! by far .. a fact. Only 5 men have won all of the 4 grand slam (agassi) Only 1 man (andre kirk agassi)can play ANYWHERE in tbe globe, probably the galaxy, and still be loved and supported by fans even more than the local player no matter who. ONly one man after the age of 30 consider an older age for tennis, can comeback and destroy the competiton including players 10 years younger, only to win 3 grand slams (agassi) and i could go on and on

He is the best. I followed him from his first tennis match (still with the long hair :-)) untill his last on the US open. Too bad he lost against Becker, but he was too strong for him. The years were really showing now. And ofcourse his back problems.

But if I am correct his whole tennis carrere was 21 years long and that's very impressive. He is a great guy as well as a great sportsman. Hopefully we will see him back maybe as a reporter just like McEnroe.
