actually it's considered seinen and shonen and it's normal for boys to like it since most parodies in the anime involve seinen anime (haruhi suzumiya, da capo, hentai games, code geass, higurashi no naku koro ni, etc) but i don't really care if some animes are meant for one gender, anyone can like it (and people say some boys watch it cuz they're lolicons)

It's considered seinen only because it ran in a seinen publication. Seinen does not default to shounen. Shounen is pure kiddie stuff meant for middle school kids whereas Seinen is read by adults. There's a HUGE difference. If you apply that to western material, that's like comparing disney cartoons (shounen) to adult swim cartoons (seinen)
