Your eyes can see the difference clearly, there's no limit on how many FPS you can see as long as you have a monitor with a high refresh rate. And you should know that people who buy these setups rarely buy them for single monitor use, people with that much GPU power, probably wanna play 3D on a triple monitor setup, playing with this setup, your frame rate would drop significantly.

2600k is quad core.....just checked on teh intel website, and it scales the highest for gaming, so currently it is the best cpu for gaming, then i believe it is the 920, 860 then 2500k

@SPAZZY1912 you're partly right. The sandybridge processors are far better for gaming than anything else. The part you got wrong is the 2500k. 920/ 860 don't hold a candle to the 2500k, in terms of better cpu for gaming.

Gaming with a 8600GT isn't so easy anymore.

It's possible, but not so easy..

Now, this was only 4 years.

That GTX580 Quad SLI will probably be obsolete in about a year or 6, 7.

Even in about 5 years the card won't perform good in alot of new games..

Perhaps they'll start working with layers, so models are hallow anymore.

They could script a whole working body. Bones that actually break, muscles that adapt themselves..

Anything can happen. And I'm studying to become a Game Designer myself, I can only hope to be part of a huge revolution. :)

@pietjanhenk Als er maar lucht is. Koelere lucht is natuurlijk beter, maar het maakt niet zo heel veel uit, omdat het gaat om het afvoeren van de warmte. De fan blaast niet op het koelblok, maar blaast lucht over het koelblok om warmte af te voeren, die er aan de achterkant uit gaat.
