  • his a pretty boy.Have you not named him yet?

  • hi Al I've seen this video many times, now I wonder if this is Mr Naja....

  • @fvar86 Yes

  • nice video and do you still have him and if you do can make more videos of him thanks you rock

  • @25thesnake Yes

  • @viperkeeper thanks will if you dont mind can you make more videos of him

  • I have never, and will most likely never have hots, though I do work with reasonably venomous invertebrates. I have no fear of the very fast, venomous spiders I have, but watching videos of venomous snakes makes my heart race, truly scary stuff. It's great to see responsible keepers of hots but for all my experience dealing with venomous (albeit non-hot) animals I have absolutely no intention of dealing with hots, I know my limits! :p Loving your videos!

  • What a beautiful snake. I wish people appreciated how great these animals really are.

If you go to a video of a mongoose killing a cobra, you'll see lots of comments in the comments section of people saying that they love the mongoose and hate snakes. That makes me feel sad.

  • @TheMelodicmaster Yes, look in my back catalog of videos.

  • just out of curiosity (no criticism intended), are you a herpetologist? (it's a cool profession) or are you simply an avid reptile enthusiast? either way, you must be pretty courageous to have one of these at home

  • @indianhunk545 Yes but I make my living from another area of science.

  • Humans are wrecking the planet with are greed and seifish needs. Snakes are good for the planet because they help keep the rodent pop. in check. Humans however are destorying the planet because we want to wipe out all the sharks, snakes and smaller animals and we also destory their wild places. For ex. we destroyed over 50% of the world's rainforest and turned them into cattle ranches and or used it for farmland. Rainforest soil can't be used as farmland for long because it dries up too soon. TS

  • @mlmxl1674 Agree. Humans are a disgrace.

  • Is it breathing using it's entire body? that sort of constriction and expansion? @ 10:58

  • @iamdwtf Not normal breathing, just showing off how big & mean he is...

  • Great video, loved the pics on your webpage too. You have a wonderful and very beautiful collection. Thanks for sharing.

  • Al...this is my most memorable video, can't believe it's been 4 years on youtube, time flies. Amazing how this fella can stay so still at certain angles when the hoods up. Feisty too! Have you still got him? Any recent videos with him that I'll remember? Thanks.

  • @RJKHOTS No, he died because of a screw up made by ZooMed. Long story...

  • @viperkeeper Are you talking about those lights that made his skin falloff....I heard you talking about it in another video

  • @EvolutionExotics Gave them 2nd degree burns

  • What type of snakes are you feeding your cobra? Also how often will you feed a cobra? I was told cobras only eat other snakes true or false?

  • Beautiful animal, thanks for sharing

  • who would win: Cobra or Mamba?

  • i m sure ur fate is imminent

  • is he poisent

  • Is this little guy the same snake as the big lug in your current videos?

  • your kidding me! How? I'm so sad she was such a sweet girl ! I'm very sorry for your loss!

  • @JohnCaven312 ...Respiratory infection....winters are hard on them. Just takes a few days of low humidity.

  • where is gabby?

  • @JohnCaven312 "Gabby" died Jan 2009

  • @viperkeeper Gabby died?

  • Beautiful snake, but how exactly do you move this venomous serpent from here to there? I am not being critical, but is owning a venomous snake really worth putting your life at risk?

  • @Ghidorah1986 On a snake hook

  • My naja naja is also a notorious runner, how is ur doing on the hook ?

& Yeah nice spectacle he's got there

Can we get some better contact , got some more question for ya about the naja naja

    Mvg izzz

  • Beautiful reptile but he looks more terrified at you than you to him. But nothing beats the beauty of the Egyptian cobra.

  • can u explain the difference between king cobra and other cobra.and the origin of king cobra?plz

  • 0:33

the way he inflates himself is really cool XD

  • Al, do you keep Serum/ antivenin for each type of snake that you have?

  • How they make sound?

  • Who would win in a fight, Cobra or Mamba?

  • isn't an Indian cobra one of the deadliest snakes in the world? lol

  • @des696969 Certainly kills people on a regular basis.

  • @viperkeeper damn you got some balls bro..

  • Naja is a Sanskrit name, isn't it? Does it literally mean "cobra?"

  • Naja Naja is my favorite species of snake, I used to watch a old movie when I was a kid about a mongoose and a Indian Cobra, the mongooses name was Ricky I think.

  • @PreppyPoser1 Ricky-Ticky-Tavi...classic but of course the sane is protrayed as the evil serpent.

  • @viperkeeper Oh really? Thanks :) the Indian Cobra is really beautiful.

  • never thought that i would call a snake "cute" ....but he is!

i'd still shit my pants if i see one though lol

  • Hey what's up? one question: Is there any non venomous Cobra species? thks

  • @leobalestrin None...Nada

  • this snake use its tongue to track its heat target>?

what keeps them standing like that?

  • @diveplane: No only Pit Vipers have heat sensing Pits....Muscles keep it up...these are very strong animals.

  • @viperkeeper how does he track you eyes?

    visual? via the tongue?

  • @diveplane Visual

  • @viperkeeper enjoy your videos awesome. amazing reptiles , can you do footage of it eating.

  • naja´s are very beautiful, all of these species. my favorit are the naja kaouthia, but all other are same beautiful i think.

    @viperkeeper:

oh and i have take a look on your website, great pictures and very nice collection of snake.

    greez from germany

  • You're a cool guy, love your vids!

  • Indian cobras are beautiful snakes. Certainly not as cuddly as a kitty, but beautiful anyway :D

  • If you encounter a poisonous King Cobra & an Indian, kill the Indian first because the Indian is more dangerous & deadly!!!

  • i dont understand about this video , is he just talking about the snake ore?

  • oh my god

  • Question; are there snake-proof clothes you can wear while handling snakes like this? Hasn't anyone invented something like that by now?

I recall almost buying snake-proof hiking boots once...

  • Nothing so far is snake proof...just snake resistant

  • have u ever gotten bitten? O_o

  • do you like cobras

  • be carefull cobras are very venomes

  • @eaglerf Of course he knows they're very venomous you idiot.

  • belli i serpenti

    (a vedelli)=)

  • Look at its scales at 0:30 and 0:33 and then onwards. It's like its scales are standing up! Whoa!

  • cool

  • thats a good thing to remember at the beginning. "The most deadly snake in the world is the one that just bit you," and "snakes don't have training wheels"

  • its beautiful that snake

  • very educated i used to run a hot show here in pa "tri-state reptile show" but we was forced to quit in the area but im still collecting from local breeders and hamburg pa show

  • i love Asian cobra's and all snakes

  • awesome vid but dont cobras spit venom?

  • A few species does but most do not.

  • I get that you know your snakes really well. But you sound really scared when you speak. btw a really beautiful snake

  • most cobras do not spit venom, just maybe 2 types of cobras do.

  • it depends on the species

  • I thought my video froze. That cobra doesn't move one freaking pixel for minutes!

  • "someones gonna get one my case, ohh gee, that's not very nice, your snakes are falling all over the floor"

    ROFL

  • i reared a black cobra during my younger days and one advise to you is that never think the snake understands you, there is no mutual trust, shared emotion!. I felt the same but its just not safe to do so. there is a reason why they say a cobra has a hypnotising presence.

  • Impressive animal

Geez, I wouldn't even touch that snake, let alone force feed it.

  • Thank you so much for letting us see these absolutely Beautiful creatures. I understand its a big risk getting them on camera and even feeding them. But i think they all like you. you seem very well calm and collective. i dont think the snakes will get to pissed at you :)

  • They can certainly pick up on your feeling/emotions.

  • wow. i got to ask: do these snakes become tame? as in do they develop a loyalty or at least recognise you like classic pets, or are they primarily instinctive animals that would still bite you after a couple of years?

  • They can tell who's their keeper and who's not. These are STILL wild animals and anything can happen. There is a level of mutual trust between them and me.

  • You say uhhhh a lot lols

  • Yes I know...but I'm doing many things at the same time...

  • 09:43 Looks like he heard you and turned his back on the cam

    d:

  • does this cobra spits?

and why it has this ... wide ''skin'' or something like that around it's neck ? :)

  • nope thats for indtimidation and confusion

  • wow !

  • @5:01-5:30/40

you forgot to mention the GREAT King Cobra!!! :p

  • any one know what the least venemous type of cobra is

  • Aspidelaps...coral cobras

  • Have u ever been bit? I want to see you handle one of them..

  • yes he has been bitten. He is not that stupid to handle them

  • Brilliant. They look rather laid back and observant, but I wouldn't f**k with one!!

  • excuse the language, but thats one pissed off cobra! he keeps on puffing up. (his sides i mean, not his hood) but cobras are awesome! bad thing is, we only got rattlers and king snakes...

  • dangerous !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • wow mate,ur brave... respect

  • Dude you're effing crazy!

    WOW!

  • Are wild Indian Cobras aggressive?

  • They are very defensive when cornered.

  • have u ever been bit

  • naja naja ftw i would get a cobra too if i was immortal

  • hahaha i feel ya dale

  • its so cool

  • wow you have the most deadlyest one ever i have a boar

  • Wow..Boar's are really dangerous.

  • yep

  • could you tell me if a person got bitten by a Black Mamba who long does a person have before he's beyond help and if a guy is bitten by a King Cobra how long does a person have???

  • Impossible to say because every bit is different. Anywhere's between a few minutes to a few hours.

  • Well King Cobra's are perfectly capable of killing a man in one bite, they are the largest venomous snake and can deliver massive amounts of venom. A King Cobra could easily kill a human in just a few minutes from a decent bite, much much faster than a Mamba. A King Cobra could potentially put down an elephant! So a Mamba to the arm/leg is probably about 4hrs; to the body/face about 20mins. King Cobra - decent bite with 4 - 8ml of venom is only a few minutes. However every venomous bite is serio

  • Hey bud, it's pronounced "nagah nagah," although it's spelled differently.

  • That may be but at Venom Week nye-a was the accepted way of saying it.

  • naja naja is pretty I love him :)

  • whats happeing to it stomet P.S. sorry about spelling

  • Try again, I don't understand the question

  • i'm not very good with reptiles lol.

  • Stick around and learn.

  • why did he strike at you in the beginning? I thought when they're about it to strike, they're tail starts rattling or moving. It wasn't.

  • No, that's not true....

  • ooh, my bad.

  • Just wondering, what was your first snake? ( Not your first venomous, but your very first snake )?

  • Dekay's snake

  • men i love the way u talk with them :)....amazing

  • Beautiful animal.

  • It is called Naga Raja

    Pronounced Naaga Raaja

    Naga=Snake

    Raja=King

  • What are the symptoms if that kind of snake bites you by accident.Would you have to actually call the hospital?

  • Hahaha..you must be joking? You could be dead of respiratory arrest in 15 minutes from that snake.

  • You can tell that when that little indian cobra is staring at you, it's figuring things out.

  • Do concentrate on breeding your animals, or do you mainly just keep them for enjoyment?

  • Beautiful snake.

  • lol"thats not very nice"

  • I love that, it's in a few other videos. I think, "Holy ****, you almost killed me" would be more the tone I'd use.

  • I breed certain species but not all.

  • What a beautiful snake. So healthy. The hole underside of its body and hood is so shiney. Such exquisite markings. Thanks for sharing.

  • dude what if it bites you????!!!! then your fucked :|

  • Dude what if you take your head out of your butt...

  • ery nice cobra :-) *****!

  • they are the pretty creathcer made by god

a really very butifull cobra i really want one but my mom wont let me :(

    peace out

  • Probably because you need a FUCK load of experience to keep one of these. You cant just keep them like a rabbit oer a dog or even like a corn snake.

They are dangerous snakes and need to be treated with the upmost respect.

And if you live with your mum im guessing your still young. Dont be an idiot and get one now, make sure you gte the right experience and do your homework. Otherwise the only show and tell you'll have for your mates is swollen fingers at the very least.

  • If you say "UH" one more time im going to break my hand on the computer screen.

  • Uh...uh...I don't uh..uh..know what you mean?
