I have never, and will most likely never have hots, though I do work with reasonably venomous invertebrates. I have no fear of the very fast, venomous spiders I have, but watching videos of venomous snakes makes my heart race, truly scary stuff. It's great to see responsible keepers of hots but for all my experience dealing with venomous (albeit non-hot) animals I have absolutely no intention of dealing with hots, I know my limits! :p Loving your videos!
What a beautiful snake. I wish people appreciated how great these animals really are.
If you go to a video of a mongoose killing a cobra, you'll see lots of comments in the comments section of people saying that they love the mongoose and hate snakes. That makes me feel sad.
just out of curiosity (no criticism intended), are you a herpetologist? (it's a cool profession) or are you simply an avid reptile enthusiast? either way, you must be pretty courageous to have one of these at home
Humans are wrecking the planet with are greed and seifish needs. Snakes are good for the planet because they help keep the rodent pop. in check. Humans however are destorying the planet because we want to wipe out all the sharks, snakes and smaller animals and we also destory their wild places. For ex. we destroyed over 50% of the world's rainforest and turned them into cattle ranches and or used it for farmland. Rainforest soil can't be used as farmland for long because it dries up too soon. TS
Al...this is my most memorable video, can't believe it's been 4 years on youtube, time flies. Amazing how this fella can stay so still at certain angles when the hoods up. Feisty too! Have you still got him? Any recent videos with him that I'll remember? Thanks.
Beautiful snake, but how exactly do you move this venomous serpent from here to there? I am not being critical, but is owning a venomous snake really worth putting your life at risk?
oh look how small :D:D cuteee xD omg i was shocked yesterday
i live in netherlands and there are adders
and they verry small right and i saw one yesterday on the road which was cut in pieces by someone omg when i saw that someone did it i would have freaking cut him in pieces its poor to cut a really little snake into pieces adders dont even bite u .... and then someone cuts one in pieces -_-
Naja Naja is my favorite species of snake, I used to watch a old movie when I was a kid about a mongoose and a Indian Cobra, the mongooses name was Ricky I think.
thats a good thing to remember at the beginning. "The most deadly snake in the world is the one that just bit you," and "snakes don't have training wheels"
very educated i used to run a hot show here in pa "tri-state reptile show" but we was forced to quit in the area but im still collecting from local breeders and hamburg pa show
i reared a black cobra during my younger days and one advise to you is that never think the snake understands you, there is no mutual trust, shared emotion!. I felt the same but its just not safe to do so. there is a reason why they say a cobra has a hypnotising presence.
Thank you so much for letting us see these absolutely Beautiful creatures. I understand its a big risk getting them on camera and even feeding them. But i think they all like you. you seem very well calm and collective. i dont think the snakes will get to pissed at you :)
wow. i got to ask: do these snakes become tame? as in do they develop a loyalty or at least recognise you like classic pets, or are they primarily instinctive animals that would still bite you after a couple of years?
They can tell who's their keeper and who's not. These are STILL wild animals and anything can happen. There is a level of mutual trust between them and me.
excuse the language, but thats one pissed off cobra! he keeps on puffing up. (his sides i mean, not his hood) but cobras are awesome! bad thing is, we only got rattlers and king snakes...
could you tell me if a person got bitten by a Black Mamba who long does a person have before he's beyond help and if a guy is bitten by a King Cobra how long does a person have???
Well King Cobra's are perfectly capable of killing a man in one bite, they are the largest venomous snake and can deliver massive amounts of venom. A King Cobra could easily kill a human in just a few minutes from a decent bite, much much faster than a Mamba. A King Cobra could potentially put down an elephant! So a Mamba to the arm/leg is probably about 4hrs; to the body/face about 20mins. King Cobra - decent bite with 4 - 8ml of venom is only a few minutes. However every venomous bite is serio
Probably because you need a FUCK load of experience to keep one of these. You cant just keep them like a rabbit oer a dog or even like a corn snake.
They are dangerous snakes and need to be treated with the upmost respect.
And if you live with your mum im guessing your still young. Dont be an idiot and get one now, make sure you gte the right experience and do your homework. Otherwise the only show and tell you'll have for your mates is swollen fingers at the very least.
