@GtheMVP That's not to say Jesus didn't exist, but he wasn't the son of any God. He was either delusional or a conman, common sense leads us to either conclusion.
When I was 8 I started questioning religion. I was in a Catholic private school at the time. I remember my dad telling me that TV was full of camera tricks and cartoons where not real... I cried when I realized cartoon characters where not real. But this made me very critical of what I believed as true from then on... so at the age of 8 I also realized that perhaps not spirituality, but church was all fake.
its unfortunate most of you are so conditioned and closed minded in your ways of thinking. IF any of you did some reading on what the Zeitgeist movement advocates i honistly wholeheartedly feel that your thoughts would change. btw, GO NEW ZEALAND!
I watched Zeitgeist myself and I felt a lot of it was conspiracy theories well the parts with 9/11 nd the Banking System at least but I rather enjoyed the first part to do with Christianity. I felt some of it was fabricated but some of it made sense and could be true like the idea of sun worship by the ancients. The actual old Germanic word for Easter is Oestara which has no entomological connexion with the word "East"(which was said in the movie) but represents the sun overpowering the darkness
No I don't think that the Banking system is. If you bothered to read my post properly, you'd see that I said the only part I thought was somewhat believable was the first part to do with how Christianity had many many pagan influences.
Yes I don't think that it is conspiracy theory myself personally but that the film made it out to be. When I said "I felt a lot of it...", the "it" was referring to the film itself. I didn't phrase it very good sorry.
Nah I didn't I only really watched the first one cos I'm particularly interested in religion (I'm not religious at all but I find the subject itself interesting) and I'm particularly in the way pagan religions have had a profound impact on Judaism, Christianity and Islam. Especially the way I live in Ireland and our native pagan beliefs mixed with Christian beliefs in fact. But the astrology is wrong in the first film. The three kings always align with Sirius during the year for example ;)
Yeah that's true too I don't care much actually for astrology I don't believe in it anymore than I would religion but it would've played a huge role in our ancestor's lives. But I do think the whole idea of crucifixion and resurrection can be attributed to a certain degree with pagan beliefs. In modern wicca, which is taken from older beliefs, they believe that the sun god sacrifices himself at the winter solstice to allow for the rebirth of a new sun (so the "son" of the previous sun).
That's true. Please don't call it modern wicca though. Wicca is not an ancient religion. It's a modern religion that combines ancient aspects from many mystery religions.
Another thing is that people are noticing in Europe, more and more, that as it gets closer to the winter solstice the days are getting shorter and darker. The sun is "dying." ;)
The masons are reputed to be behind the financial world. Zeitgeist advocates against the monetary/financial system itself.. hence making this statement of yours mean absolute bullshit.
I believe one point of Zeitgeist is not to blindly believe what it is telling you, but to research things for yourself and come to your own conclusions about the state of the world. A two hour video is not going to educate people of everything there is.
This news report focuses just on one part of the video (religion) which is not the primary point that Zeitgeist is trying to convey. Quite a biased focus too.
I think the reporter at the end expressed doubts because he doesn't want a load of religious nuts throwing bricks through his window..ya know, they try to keep everyone happy.
At the end of the day, if you're confident in what you believe in, then ya shouldn't be afraid to talk about it...infact you should welcome someone to challenge you I think because it improves your own understanding. Zeitgeist really says it how it is...It's spot on.
Great story if only for the fact that it is applaudable to feature something so controversial on the news. A shame however that the only counter-voices were inexorably biased.
do u belive this crap the truth is out there open ur eyes america ur ruled by banks and laws that take away u human rights i guess what they say is true ignorance is bliss
Just because it's popular doesn't mean it's right... the majority once believed the earth was flat. Today's religious beliefs are the mythology of tomorrow...
