(ooh ooh) The flowers wilt away/every hour of every day I tried in every way/just gonna find someone to play (yeah) Don't pass me away, oh help me Queen Jane (that's right, that's right yeah) You taught me to stay, but I'm going insane (yeah, ooh ooh ooh oh) The night has fallen again/and the reason flows from my fountain pen I began at the very end/One more step forward and I'll descend (yeah) Don't pass me away, oh help me Queen Anne (that's right) I've searched for the way of matters on land
Hi, something I'd really REALLY to see here is the lyrics, please....!
I think I got it down pretty much, but ever since 1992 I've been doing this song with various bands (including the Ace-Tones, the Napoleons, and now the Flying Tygers) and there's one or two wild guesses in there since the beginning...
I'd love to record our version for an album, but if I would have a chance to finally sing the right words, that'd be nice! (I'm not a native speaker of English, so...)
I was friends with Arnie the lead singer but I haven't seen him in years. I was surprised to find this song on YT. The last time I heard it was the mid 70s.
I am Frank Giammarco co-writer of this song. The group was indeed from the state of Rhode Island and regularly performed up and down the east coast during the late 60's and early 70's. Suicidal Flowers made the charts in Philadelphia and was a popular local hit at the time. I'm glad so many are now enjoying this music from our past. Enjoy !
Common misconception about this track is that the band came from Texas. Not sure how they got that info, but the band is a Rhode Island band. I know this because my brother was the lead guitarist.
@davies511 What would you like to know? My brother Frank was lead guitarist for the band. They started out in the mid-60s then known as Those Alone but progressed to the Crystal Chandelier. This song did make it on some of the charts and I believe reached as high as 45, although I was only a boy back then and my facts may not be entirely accurate. In any case, ask what you'd like. If I dont know the answer I'll check with my brother.

Suicidal Flowers - Crystal Chandelier [Providence, Rhode Island] - 1969 - "Is MORE Doors-esque then 'The Doors'. Beautifully druggy and dreamy." - Pebbles Vol. 3: The Acid Gallery-1992.
NOTE: Somewhere in Rhode Island A. Micrarelli thought he was Jim Morrison.

His voice is very close to Jim Morrison's. There's no denying it. I dig.

To the best of my memory it was:
Lead singer: Arnie Micarelli (sp)
Lead guitarist: Frank Giammarco
Rythym guitarist: Vin Vento
Drummer: I dont remember
I think this is accurate, but it's been a long time and I was only a child when they were together and performing.
