This is the SNICK that I remember the most since I didn't get cable until 1997. I caught the tail end of the last SNICK branding before this too (with the changing room and ska music). SNICK went downhill after the "electricity era" when they did that SNICK House crap with Nick Cannon. There was a brief resurgence in 2002 with the "talk bubble" era, though sadly most of the new shows sucked (New cast of All That, Nick Cannon Show, Taina, etc.) Then TEENick came and killed SNICK for good. RIP.
I remember this. That was back when every nickelodeon and Snick commercials were better then 98% of the shows on nick today. the other 2% consists of the 2 hour 90's are all that on teen nick. Which is basically nick shows from the 90's
That was back when Nick had good cartoons, aahhhggg! real monsters, rocko's modern life, catdog, Ren and Stimpy etc. and only a few non-cartoon shows that were great, like All that, and Are you afraid of the dark?. And they would come out with new episodes every Saturday night, SNICK.
Now, there are barely any cartoons on nick, save for nick Jr.
Now it's a bunch of shows where tweens get to do stuff that normal kids can't, Icarly, Victorious, Big Time Rush, and they're not as good.

Trivia Fact: This opening sequence was taped in the New York section of Universal Studios Florida. This was also where they filmed the original opening of All That. Maybe Nick did this so much because Nickelodeon Studios was near this place.
Yeah, SNICK was the best. But nowadays, the only shows they have on Saturday nights from 8:00-10:00 are "iCarly", "Big Time Rush", "Victorious", and "True Jackson, VP".
Wow i remember those Mr. Frear's Ears shorts, they were really weird. Also i have that full version of the SNICK intro on tape and i think they aired it only once, the tape was from September 20, 1997 and this intro came on before the Rugrats episodes "Faire Play / The Smell of Success".

I loved Mr. Frear's ears, but at the same time there was something really eerie and unsettling about it. I think it was the ticking in the opening
