From this half the only advice I can give you is when taking spinal taps try not to stick your arms back so far. If you do it to soften the blow, at least try not to make it so obvious.

I'm not sure what exactly a "spinal tap" is, but I think he's talking about 6:29
You can see that Randa's extending his arms back to soften the knee strikes.
But, you've probably figured that out by now, PJ.
