@joeplasm Man I'm tired, miss spelling left and right. Remember that for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. That means for every force moving in one direction an equal and opposite force is moving in the equal opposite direction. The vent on the back is to minimize that opposite force as well as some missiles like the Javelin will have two stage rockets to simply use enough force to jump out of the tube but not cause the soldier to fly off backwards.

And for the tool (easttr090 and wizardofswag) He's using the weapon correctly the weapon miss fires. SMAW-D are known to have the rear gasket not open all the way and the rocket leaving creates a vacuum pulling the tube behind it. The SMAW-D has no shoulder pad or any other way to brace it beside wrapping the sling. So if you want to blame someone blame the lowest bidder who built the thing. Not the guy test firing the rocket to find out if the batch is bad before they go to combat.
