1) The blame is on ourside, the Iranians. Why and how dd we give up to the Arab attacks. The illiterate, wild and uncivilized Arabs defeated an empire. This shows the vast corruption and uselesness of the Iranian Emperor and system of the time

On the political and historical aspect agreed. But Iran seems to gain control again mostly because it's suggested everywhere that the Iran makes nuclear weapons.

Also , the Mullah government supports the Taliban and through the Sharia they seem to bound the orient into some sort of republic. Any western influence would be officially blocked and the whole east would turn back to Medival.

That's just a thesis. If someone can dispute about it, feel free to do, I like to know more about it.

Yes and No, They built a dam nearby, but the grave of Cyrus the great wouldn't submerge. Archialogist are worried that increasing the region humidity and level of underground water can damage the foundation. Anyhow, the land that is going uderwater, holds a lot of ancient secrets not been excavated yet. Problem is if you dig anywhere in Iran you are likely to find treasure but if you want to save everything then you have to hold back the industrialization!
