I wish there was a season 4... but not this. I'm kind of glad they didn't pick this up. As much as I like Veronica, the reason I love the show is because of all the others characters and her relationships with them. I wouldn't want to watch this if I didn't see Veronica interact with Keith, Logan, Wallace, Weevil, etc. regularly. As good as this "trailer" is, it's not the VERONICA MARS I know and love...

What we need is a movie to wrap everything up (meaning Logan and Veronica together :p )

I would have preferred this to be season 5. Having Season 4 as the outcome of the election, Veronica in her second or even third year of university. Then go on to the FBI. Personally I don't know if the FBI was in Veronicas character she seems to have a problem with authority.

We all know that television is a business, and a lot of shows have been canceled because of "ratings". Others try to mix things up and have a "reboot" of sorts - One Tree Hill or Desperate Housewives.

I agree with @leonardemily3 here, Thomas was trying to keep the show alive and grab a new audience. It's only a 12 minute 'what could have been' - there's no way to guess how Season 3's story could have been told in the 20+ episodes. Flashbacks, anyone?

CW was kind of smart not picking this up as much as I hate to say it. I loved this show to pieces, dont get me wrong, but it was way to deep to bring in all new chars. As cool as the FBI thing was, it was such a light and brief thing, good for her but thers still a mystery. The show should have gone on for the rest of the collage years before getting rid of EVERY character except veronica. You cant try and make fans fall in love with all new chars when you havent even solved the last crime.

CW opted not to renew it - claiming ratings, but the real reason being that they were all idiots and didn't know quality when it smacked them in the face.
