Cheap hockey, put him in the box for instigating. The ref clearly warned him about it but did not do any other further action. I think it was dumb to do this on a goalie like Brodeur who is always focused and a huge veteran and definitely not dumb enough to pop Avery in the mouth to put his team short handed. I'm definitely not a Devil's fan but there's no place in hockey for B.S shenanigans.
