Are people just reluctant or do they not realize that the Middle East is a religious problem, not only a political one? There is not a secular world. This is not an attack on Islam, but it needs to be realized that some of our fears are directly involved with even doctrinal issues within Islam. We are afraid of a Sunni/Shi'ite civil war, a religious problem. Political diplomacy isn't enough, we need to encourage religious diplomacy and dialogue between the groups. I think the best thing to do to be informed is to have a good understanding of U.S history. Get an understanding of why certain ideologies have come about. I fully support a candidate like Dennis Kucinich, however I find it harrowing that this race is looking like Giuliani vs. Clinton. Why not support a candidate who has gained so much momentum in the Republican party, who is both honest and revolutionary like Kucinich? Ron Paul for '08 Republican candidate, not necessarily president.

we are already there. Either add more troops and make more efficient humanitarian efforts, or just leave and let civil war erupt over there. We can't half ass this war anymore. It isn't working. If they are really progressives and want to ameliorate what is going on in Iraq they know what they have to do. I don't think either Republican or Democrat is going to pull the troops from Iraq.

I just turned nineteen and I'm kind of in your boat. I knew my vote would be a waste if I was uninformed and also because they're all fake and no politician shared enough of my views ( or enough sincerely) that I would want to vote for them. And then i found Ron Paul.

I think the best thing to do to be informed is to have a good understanding of U.S history. Get an understanding of why certain ideologies have come about. For instance why has liberalism become a "bad" thing, or why the "religousness" of a politician has become important. I don't know if I would base my ideas on these types of these things because they do double talk and are too concerned about votes and not what they believe is right.

Hillary keeps blaming Bush for the start of the war in Iraq. Of course it is, Bush is the Commander in Chief after all. However, Bush must have permission from the Congress to declare war according to the Constitution. And yet Hillary voted YES for the war. How can Americans vote for someone who is not taking of her own responsibility?

I forget the actual percent...but a large percent of what this country looks for in a president is that they look nice or trust worthy. now a days, this society is obsessed with staying young. lighter hair can give the illusion of youth.

Just search youtube for Ron Paul Debates and see what he has to say. We all need to vote for someone who IS going to change this country and get us away from the destructive path we are going down. If you watch one of videos, and don't like his ideas, then I am sorry. At least take a look though. We are not voting for a specific part to take office, we are voting for a specific person. What party he is should not matter.

our troops signed up to fight for our country. they knew what they were getting themselves into. i am sorry for all the families that has lost loved ones in the war but at least they died fighting for what they believed in. they didnt die in vane.
