Her family fled from Iran, from what I understand they had a long and difficult journey before ending up in Sweden that included a few years in Belirus. During the escape she had family that did got killed. Its fantastic how she have been able to bloom considering the tuff start she got in her life. She is simply brilliant.

It's very hard to feel Iranian when you live in Sweden, and when you are raised in a different country and a completely different culture it's hard to call yourself persian, however, she most likely means that she is from Sweden in the meaning that she is born and raised here, it does not make sense to say you are Iranian if you are born in Sweden, at least not grammatically, and her base for grammar is Swedish so, that's probably why she wrote it that way.
