The book of enoch has many contradictions to the bible. I to thought it was interesting yet as i read on it was full of folly, if youd likee to know my insight as to y please inbox me. Iv read the book through and through. One main instance which can b laughed at is enoch says the moon is the same size as the sun and that the angels built noahs ark. Where as genesis states noah himself built it.
Hebrews chpt. 1 : GOD HAS NEVER CALLED an ANGEL HIS SON[s]. The Scritpures can not be broken; So please explain your inserting Angels into the text when it read sons of God in Genesis Chpt. 6.
@mbnightsearch1 Gen. 6 uses the phrase "bene ha elohim" which in Hebrews means "sons of God". This phrase "bene ha elohim" is used a couple of times in the book of Job and it always refers to angels. I am sorry that people just don't get this, or they feel uneasy about it. But we are NOT sons of God until we go through the new birth. Sons of God are the direct creation of God with NO mediaries. The Angeles are, Adam was, nows born again belivers are. May be somewhat perplexing but thats it.

It's well known among Moses, Enoch, and the Jews that angels were created by God thus they were called sons of God as in created by God, not that God was their Father Your right in that God had no true sons that were fully God till Christ, I'm just trying to give you the reason why the words "sons of God" were used in both books.

I have read many excluded books and understood why they were excluded, this one is different. The only negative thing I find is the phoney imagery used between frames-what a 'turn off' to something otherwise seeming genuine. Googling "Book of Enoch" will bring up the text on the web as well as some other sources available to download (for free, public domain). If you guys think this book is interesting, try reading the whole Gnostic Gospels, Apocrypha, and the Dead Sea Scrolls! The most interesting books I found was "The Book of Giants", which talks about one of the first sons of the fallen ones killing another giant. Not even close. Read Genesis 4, Cain's son is Enoch (not the same Enoch of Gen 5:18-24, because that is Seth's line, not Cain's). Nimrod didn't exist until almost 1700 years later after the flood.

I think the most upsetting thing about all of this, was when I was in middle school and had to take a Greek Mythology class in the suburban Michigan public school system. They taught you all about the gods but that they were fake. The thing is, the individuals who started American history knew who these gods were. The problem with Enoch's books is that there are more than one copy and not all are the same so it is hard to know which are the proper writings known in 1st century, this has baring on why it is not in the Bible. it wasn't discarded . up till about 300 AD it was widely taught . even today in Jude , enoch is QUOTED . every place in the new testament where someone is quoted you can find the original quote in the old testament. enochs quote can not be found in the old testament. it is obvious that Jude is cliff noting the book of enoch . it was "canon" during the time of Christ. just cause some men removes it( the counsel of laodicia) doesn't mean it's no good .

@marcustakedown1210 The english translation says "sons of god", but in the Hebrew the word used is Benigh Elohim meaning fallen angels. It's well known among Moses, Enoch, and the Jews that angels were created by God thus they were called sons of God as in created by God, not that God was their Father Your right in that God had no true sons that were fully God till Christ, I'm just trying to give you the reason why the words "sons of God" were used in both books.

I have read many excluded books and understood why they were excluded, this one is different. The only negative thing I find is the phoney imagery used between frames-what a 'turn off' to something otherwise seeming genuine. Every painting or likeness of Yeshua or "Jesus" is a false image, as is every depiction of any Prophet or saint. We who see with spiritual eyes do not need phoney depictions.

Googling "Book of Enoch" will bring up the text on the web as well as some other sources available to download (for free, public domain). We are learning about this in my church so as not to be ignorant of the devil's devices.

If you guys think this book is interesting, try reading the whole Gnostic Gospels, Apocrypha, and the Dead Sea Scrolls! The most interesting books I found was "The Book of Giants", which talks about one of the first sons of the fallen ones killing another giant. And "The Book of the Sons of Light and the Sons of Darkness", which is one of the Dead Sea Scrolls that talks about the similarities of the war in heaven and the war between Israel and their enemies in ancient times!

Nephilim are not Angels. They are the hybrids. The text suggest mutation. Not all the Nephilim were giant, but only some. They would have daughters as well, which could, in turn mate with the giant men.
Keep in mind, a brute male would not necessarily respect a woman's body. A man of today (upwards of 7 foot 8 inches) could inseminate a woman of 3 feet tall - so - a 17 foot man would be able to mate with a 6ft tall woman. Their seed is not giant. If you get what I'm saying. lol

These Fallen Angels were the ones who taught the earthlings how to make weapons of war, drugs, music, arts, etc. They mixed the DNA of animals and created new species. I like the Book of Enoch, but I am surprised that people focus on its 1st section, which is the Book of the Watchers!
Yet the 2nd one, Book of the Parables of Enoch, is more valuable for Christianity as it is filled with Messianic verses, in the vision of the Son of Man.
I was so surprised that I am downloading right now a video with all these verses.
It's good to know about falling angels but knowing about Jesus is better for me.

Genesis 5:23 says And all the days of Enoch were 365 years.
How is it he lived to be 365 years old, but we are lucky to pass 90? Was the calendar different back in the biblical days? Does anyone know the answer to this? I'd really appreciate it. Thanks.

Not even close. Read Genesis 4, Cain's son is Enoch (not the same Enoch of Gen 5:18-24, because that is Seth's line, not Cain's). Nimrod didn't exist until almost 1700 years later after the flood.

I think the most upsetting thing about all of this, was when I was in middle school and had to take a Greek Mythology class in the suburban Michigan public school system. They taught you all about the gods but that they were fake. The thing is, the individuals who started American history knew who these gods were. @chicensupdude....uuhhh not to smart trying to go there, if you really knew genetics & anthropology then you would be aware that Mendels Law of genetics cleary states that you cannot get dominant genes from reccessive. Every gene that denotes black characteristics is dominant & all those of white are reccessive....so if blacks are apes then logic would conclude that whites are even lower apes...oh & BTW the bible state Jesus has "having hair like wool & feet like burnt bronze". But the angels were sent by GOD originally to teach the people about morals & values & etc. They begain to pine for the women. In return they abandoned their mission & started their own thing. Before they got started they made a pat- "okay we are going to do this and no one backs out of this". But when they did it... They did it! A lot of the hybrids were deformed! If they had deformed products between women & angel. Then of course there are going to be mutations between angel & animal.

After reading the book of Enoch, this also came to my mind.. the thing about the dinosaurs.. Because why didnt Noah take them in to the Ark with him?? Because they were a crossbreed of demons with animals.. I think that Satan was trying to avoid his destiny by creating his own race of people .. so that the coming of the son of man (Jesus) would not take place.

The problem with Enoch's books is that there are more than one copy and not all are the same so it is hard to know which are the proper writings known in 1st century, this has baring on why it is not in the Bible. As for 2012, Our Lord is clear that we will not know the day or hour. Stitchen's writings of Enki are not true translations of tablet of sumerians.

it wasn't discarded . up till about 300 AD it was widely taught . even today in Jude , enoch is QUOTED . every place in the new testament where someone is quoted you can find the original quote in the old testament. enochs quote can not be found in the old testament. it is obvious that Jude is cliff noting the book of enoch . it was "canon" during the time of Christ. just cause some men removes it( the counsel of laodicia) doesn't mean it's no good .
