@ManneredMammal Agreed. But seeding Dune for the kids to one day explore is pretty cool. Images from David Lynch's film haunted my childhood. I had some toys from that movie too. My dad was into it. I finally read it in college and re-watched the film. Truly one of the best, and most important sci-fi stories of all time. Understanding it though is like a right of passage. It takes time. Not as simple as something like Star Wars.

@killthenerd5 The 80s movie is terribly flawed, no doubt. However, there is a magic to it that I can't quite explain. The remake they did for the sci-fi channel was even worse I thought. It had all the story but no charm. The Children of Dune follow up was actually much better. Maybe one day they'll get it right for the big screen.
