Laura Harris (the original Daisy) was an amazing character. She was dramatic, seductive, and lonely. I loved when she was hurt cause no man would love her. But this Daisy seems like she's pathetic. After Daisy's death she was looking for love, especially cause of her last thought.

I hated that Daisy and Mason never got together, and without Rube there it just wasn't the same.

I think Sarah Wynter did the best she could with what she was given but the character was not quite up to par. I wonder if Mandy Patinkin just didn't want to reprise the roll...I saw an interview with that cast at Comic Con 2009 and Callum Blue said that some people chose not to reprise their rolls. But Rube was missed..he was always one of the best.

Dead Like Me is/was an MGM production and originally on SHO. It was a Bryan Fuller masterpiece! His other show dealing with death is/was Pushing Daisies..ABC. Now..this makes two of THE BEST shows ever..discontinued by the networks!

Both shows are quirky..original..funny & intelligent. Well thought and produced until the powers that be made their decisions. Not the preferred crime or reality show..the masses who responded to Nielson TV ratings sealed both show's fate. A big dissapointment!

Probably because they had other show commitments at the time. Rube (mandy) was doing Criminal Minds i think, and Daisy (Laura) was doing Women's Murder Club. Sad, the actors did very well playing those characters. The new Daisy seems ditsy from what i've seen in trailers and such, whereas Laura's Daisy was intentional ditsy in a provocative flirtatious way but strong and independent.
