I have tried to look into this idea and a few people mention the problem of the superior robot costing a packet and then possibly falling into enemy hands giving them a finished product with minimal research costs. The robots are as yet only applicable in conjunction with forces that can recover a failed unit. The other unit is overwhelming numbers but these would be of lower quality and be less effective than highly accurate missiles - discuss! :)

right idea..but with a higher budget and quite possibly more people involved could install a camera(s) with night-vision, a .50 caliber Barret rifle that rotates, more blades to lower the noise it produces, and conceal the motor, and have it run on a high powered battery. I wouldn't discount the entire concept, but I think what it could really use is more power. It doesn't look like it's fast of maneuverable enough to survive. You know, if you could put something like a .338 mag, or even a .50 on it, then get some kind of stabilization piloting software, hooked up to a computer screen... You might have a cool sort of weapon to pick off some targets when you yourself are pinned down.
