77' Tour was a tour of great shows and not so great Page playing. Checking out 6/77 at the LA Forum (listen to this Eddie) and Page was very good at that show. Cleveland show was not good, so it's hit or miss and mostly due to the lifestyle he was living as obviously Heroin was in full swing with him through the early 80's. I have seen Page numerous times from 82' on and his best playing was in 98' free from drugs.

I love Zeppelin but I have to say I think Page had totally lost it by 77 in comparison with his best days. If you realise you like the guitar while on an electric, I would recommend buying an acoustic. You have to press down on an acoustic more than an electric, and it forces you to know where the specific frets are.

This solo is one of the best! The concert was very frustrating especially, since it was RIGHT AFTER the amazing nights in LA 1977 and MSG 1977. They were on such an amazing roll, right before this concert, but yea this version of stairway was definitely one of the highlights! So much FEELING!

Both necks are electric but the top neck is 12 string and is more "chordy" then for actual solos but the bottom neck is for more solos and stuff but in total the doubleneck weighs 20 lbs

Definetely electric helps with soloing and such which really makes your fingers get used to all the stretching the classical guitar is only limited but i first bought an electric then eventually got an acoustic/ classical and its a piece of cake!

All of these Page haters who claim to be experts, are just aging 'musicians' whose only 'claim to fame' was runner-up in some battle-of-the-bands somewhere 20 years ago. Now they are just stuck teaching guitar in some basement music store, playing tired old riffs to starry-eyed 14 year olds. Nothing original, just old familiar Zep and Hendrix licks, over and over again. Maybe on occasion packing up the cheap amp and playing some themed gig at their old high-schools.
