@dammee It is not obligatory in the Shia school of thought to say "Ashadu Ana 3aliyan wali Allah". But back in the days, after the Prophet (pbuh) died and the khalifah was given to Omar instead of Ali (as) people whom followed Imam Ali and belived he was the real khalifah after the prophet began to say Ashadu ana aliyan waly Allah to differentiate themselves from the those that believed Omar was the khalifah. So if it was bidah i think the imams would have not allowed it even back then.

On the death bed, the Holy Prophet asked for a pen to write a will and to mention once again the successor after him. AbuBakr and Umar said the Quran is enough for us. Without Ali,the living Quran, how can you put this to practice ? How the vote of a handful of people have the right to pick AbuBakr ? whilst the prophet lay on his deathbed.

How could muhammad rasool Allah sws ask for a pen (they didn't exist 1400 years ago) and why would he considering he was illiterate, meaning he couldn't read or right? That was one of the miracles of muhammad, that he could know the whole qur'an (said to him by djibril) and he didn't even know how to read or right, so therefore he wouldn't have asked to write a will in the first place...the smallest detail of your story is flawed.
