yea no sh!t. I love how he said "you might notice slight imperfections but it should disappear in a few days" thats after Verizon send you a new phone because you have to soak it.
On my Dare i bought a normal protection screen I had 2 bubbles right in the middle and a lot on the surrounding... In 1-2 days the 2 center bubbles were gone completely... The ones around the sides are there but they arent really that annoying
This is a great product. I've used it on not only my Dare but on my iPod too and it is excellent. The time it takes to install is really worth it. Just make sure the phone is very clean before installing. I've dropped my phone on the driveway and accidentally kicked it across the concrete and not a scratch on it! I like to carry my phone in my pocket and my keys don't even phase the cover. Still looks brand new after 9 months!
i just put this product on my phone and u cant even tell that its there and it doesnt mess with the touch screen at all its a great piece of merchandise
Id just get the part for the screen cause thats really the only part you need, the back doesnt really need to be scratch proof. Plus i like the soft plastic look compared to the glossy one after you put the shield on.
I bought the nice silicone cover for this phone at the verizon store and use plastic screen protectors for the screen. I believe that this combination is probably more effective than the invisible shield and much easier to use and apply. In fact, the silicone jacket provides a measure of cushion and protection.
Visible NIGHTMARE, holy crap! You have to have the hands and patience of a surgeon just to get the freakin thing on. When you peel it off it's adhesive it immediately bends inwards and starts sticking to itself. By the time you get the pieces laid and ready to put on, there's dust and lint that won't come off. So you have a piece of a plastic on your screen with dust and lint underneath it. Looks bad. It's like trying to get chewed bubblegum off of the bottom of your shoe. Ugh, avoid.
The guy installing this really sucks. All those bubbles and stuff. I suppose he couldn't really take his time while being recorded though. Anyway, I applied three of these shields to my younger brother and sisters LG Dare's that all turned out way better than this. Application is easy with a steady hand and some practice at it. It has been a worthwhile investment for my Voyager, my dad's phone and my 120g iPod. They do a great job of hiding scratches if you are concerned about that as well.
this sucks.. dont get it.. the sheild falls off.. you get water inside.. a waste of time.. looks stupid on the phone.. looks cheap and hard to push buttons... DONT GET THIS>. it looks gay on your phone and it starts to peel and bubble up.. save your money get a rubber case..
I just ordered mine a few minutes ago. I think it's funny- the people who actually have one say it's difficult to put on, but it works great. The people who are saying it's junk don't even have the Invisibleshield, so who are they to talk bad about it?
Very nice video. On my website you can online text for free to anyone. Also send mulitple text messages in one click, create a contact list of friends. Just go to my profile.
what they don't tell you is it won't come off after drying, and when your in hte sun it will start bubbling after too much sun light, or heat. and then u have permanent bubbles for the rest of your life unless you poke them with needles then you have craters.
The tiny cut-outs don't stay behind, you have to poke them out with a sharp knife. It's very hard to get the small pieces lined up properly, no matter how many times you peel it off, spray it down, and try again.
This video makes installation look so easy. I don't know how many takes they needed, or how much practice. I just installed this on my LG Dare, and it was the most frustrating, difficult, and painful hour of my life. Makes oral surgery seem like a day at the pool.
The film doesn't peel easily from the backing paper except for the two very large pieces. With all the small ones, the backing papers peels into layers, you hgave to try and scrape it off, bits of paper stay behind, what a mess.
No. the spray doesn't effect anything! all what it does is to moisture your finger prints so it will not show when you are applying the shield. By the way I drop my phone on purpose on cement because I had the shield on and no scratches were found to be on it
i just got my dare and it is about $400 in stores after the phone is completely set up and that spray looked like it colud do some harm to the open speaker so sorry i think i'll pass
Mythbusters is putting the phone with the shield screen in a 10,000 degree furnace? How stupid is that? A. 10k degrees? come on. B. It will be melted no matter what.
I think it's a good mythbusters test subject sure, but that sounds idiotic.
But you know, they don't just come up with their own stuff to test, I agree that it's stupid. But it was myth created by as you said someone idiotic. xD Love me some Mythbusters though.
This cant be good for your phone! They spray it on after they've but the shield on the back...doesn't that get in the speaker?? That would screw it up? I have the lg dare and theres no way i would want to do this to my phone. I just bought the silicone case and the screen protectors and my phone doens't have a scratch on it.
Well to all you none believers, we will see just how amazing this protector is on Mythbusters to whom I submitted it. The episode airs sometime early September. I'm told they put a invisible shield protected phone in a 10,000 degree furnace only to return...well you'll just have to wait and see... but I'm confident in the outcome.
The video turned me off the first time I watched it. I am sure you believe what you are saying, but seeing is believing does not apply here I am afraid. Furthermore, $24.99 per pack didn't seem cheap either. CR does not recommend this product, so out goes the baby with the bathwater.
Lol I've read some comments about this being bullet proof or protects it from drops... people, this is js a "scratch" protector, it will NOT protect it against hard impact. I dont kno about the shield being bulletproof but even tho it is, the phone will be shattered due to high velocity impact, same with drops, if u drop it wiht the shield on, it WILL protect it from scratches and MAYBE tiny dents, but not internal damage to your phone.
dont get it, js get the screen protector from verizon wireless homepage, its like 9.99 for 3 protectors and get a rubber case for it also which is like... 13 bucks.
With everything, itll be 23 bucks, cheaper then the invinsible shield... (i think the invinsible shield is like 25 or 28 bucks..)
No guys, this is seriously the best protector for anything, ever. It's bullet proof, scratch proof, and certainly child-proof. The sistine chapel should be covered with this stuff. of course none of this stuff will work unless you wash your hands thoroughly first.
Anyone can see this is just plain silly. Palm technique, spraying your fingers, washing your hands will not help. It still states there will be imperfections in applying nothing more than a thin cheap piece of recycled cellophane. DO NOT BUY ANY OF THIS GARBAGE! Get the plastic screen protectors and the silicone case like I did at the VW store. I can tell you they work just fine because I am using them.
I have the dare and put the invisible shield on and shot it 22 calibur rifle and not a single dent or scratch showed up. I would like to purches this in bulk so to cover my entire car with it.
The invisible shield is NOT a good alternative to a die cut screen protector and a soft rubber case. The Dare's screen isn't as sensitive as some other devices and doesn't work well with this product.
besides the fact that he squigees about a gallon of water right into the batery compartment...lol..buy the rubber case if you want to try to protect it and put 2 screen savers on it....baddabing!!!
... this kinda dumb when all u need is the SCREEN protector so it protects it from scratches... why the entire phone? i mean, if u drop it, its more likely to BREAK something. If i dropped my phone, I wouldnt much care about the scratches cuz i mean... i dropped, too bad but ill be shiit worried about phone itself not working first..
Plus, the rubber case from verizon is good enough, at least the rubber will protect it from scratch AND coushins it a little if u do drop it. This is js dumb
My impression exactly jaysong. Just buy the screen protectors and the silicone case. Spraying, drying, applying a garbage bag around your phone is silly.
This screen protector is not designed for any touch screen devices. The film is sticky and it won't allow you the smooth sliding across the screen. When browsing the contacts in my phone book it picks the wrong number instead of sliding down to the right one.
So, I noticed on the website you can just get it for the screen and not the whole device, which is better because like someone earlier mentioned, you would have trouble getting the battery case off. Now, not sure if i want to get this but with the screen protector on does it still slide well like when you're trying to scroll? supposedly you don't drop it as easily, meaning that it's not slick to the hand, which i wouldn't like for my touch screen.
I got the Invisible shield for my Dare yesterday. I decided just to get it for the screen. It is really easy to put on and it doesn't effect sensitivity at all. Flicking through big list and stuff like that is pretty much the same, but when you're trying to make really small movements, it's a tiny bit harder. I love it and would definitely recommend it.
yea i agree with you this is just a little too much to do just to kinda protect your phone i'd rather get one of those rubber skins so it might actually protect it
I bought just the screen protector and the rubber case should arrive today. I just installed the screen protector last night and this is much better then any other protector that I have tried. Much more responsive to the touch because its rubber not plastic.
i rather use the scren protector verizon wireless online store gives u for the LG Dare and the rubber case they have, better protection with the rubber case and grip for sure.
I just got my invis shield and let me tell you its a great product but its not as easy as the video shows you..i wasted my spray with trial and error. They should give more spray but it doesn't effect the touch screen or anything just makes it more drop and scratch proof..great product u just have to be a professional to put it on or you will get frustrated like me.
my only question and concern is that when you place this on the back of the phone and i see that it wraps around the bottom edge, How will you be able to replace the battery without damaging the shield as the Dares back plate slides totally off of the device? This I see will be a problem.
how do u get the back off?

my only question and concern is that when you place this on the back of the phone and i see that it wraps around the bottom edge, How will you be able to replace the battery without damaging the shield as the Dares back plate slides totally off of the device? This I see will be a problem.

horrible for touch phones...don't use on the screen, it deadens the touch...anything else they say is BS.
