Just so everyone is clear, no this isnt fake. This video is of a glider taking off in the mountains, where there is strong wind and good thermals (updrafts of air) to get and keep him aloft. Also if you look right behind him, there is a wheel. thats the landing gear. most gliders land on one wheel. and there is a skid on the front of the ship. So no he wont die, and landing is quite simple

its a simple foot launched, rigid winged hang glider, modified with a pilot faring that allows the pilot to tuck up his legs into the fairing while sitting in a cloth sling. Belive it or not they are actually pretty safe as long as you've had the training to fly a glider or hangglider. Taking off into a head wind you can almost launch yourself right off. I think this model is called the SWIFT,
