It was a hard switch for me going from Final Cut to Premiere especially because I didn't want to (FCP stopped working for some reason) but now that I've done it and gotten comfortable, it is honestly my favorite editing software. It's easy to do basic edits, but has the power to allow you to edit a feature film on it. And yeah, for you, Vegas is just too complicated to render with.

@FallenSoSik its a more complicated than vegas, if you have the time to learn it, soooo much easier to do cool things, but you lose some simplicity along the way, hope this helps :3

I've switched to premier pro. Edited a full montage with prem and AAE via dynamic link. So much easier than rendering to and from vegas. Besides, the majority of AAE plugins work in prem, which apart from text is usually the only reason people use AAE.

Premiere is the one. Something you should know though, cropping video gets a little annoying because of the lack of features. I mention this because i only started using premiere a couple months ago.

@07sam70 what do you mean? cropping is identical to AAE. Go into Effects window > motion, hit scale and change to 101.

@METAL2804 Sorry i meant compared to vegas, i assume thats what TheMD used before. Vegas is pretty simple with its layout and its cropping/scaling feature is really easy to use.

@07sam70 prems easier ;) either do it the way I described or click on the preview window, click on the corner and resize. Its all habit, but for anyone who uses AAE, prem will be easy.

@METAL2804 Fair enough :D Anyway i have a question i hope you can answer. Using the dynamic link to transfer between adobe software, at what stages do you switch premier to ae. I find i am constantly switching back and fourth as the 'montage' goes on with no real structure. Basically do you have a structure in regards to that? hope i made sense there. Thanks.
