I like Legeres, and I ONLY like it on Alto Sax, I stick w/ the cane reeds on Tenor, because it gives me the darker sound I like, but I can still get that edge outta em' when I want, but good sound.
Bari reeds last almost forever. I've had one for my Boosey & Hawkes clarinet for many hundreds of hours of playing over at least ten years.
I find Bari have gone down in quality since then, though - the last couple I bought were really bad so I switched to Legeres only for my alto sax and my clarinets.
Shame the Baris are too expensive to just throw away...
