  • BUST A MOVE !!

  • the amazing thing is that you are listening to Young MC...

  • While there is not a lot of detail related to the actual process of transplanting, I must say that the video details were quite nice and I would like to see more from you on this. So many hydroponic videos are just commercials. Thanks.

  • can you smoke this lettuce

  • @KvltKommando you could if you wanted. I wouldn't

  • lol, nice set-up. luv me sum iceberg lettuce.

  • Dude, Do you have your drains at the very bottom of each pipe? Or do you have them elevated to increase the water depth? From the video it looks like you have an inch or so of water, but all the designs I've seen have drains at the bottom so that there's just a trickle of water. BTW, I want to grow lettuce and spinach. Really.

  • @bluekeys51 in the video they are elevated. Im actually growing bell peppers in this set up right now and wish they were not elevated. Using organic nutes and i think the roots are slowly dying of oxygen deprivation from the buildup of organic matter over the roots.

  • Where did you get the plug sheets to start your plants?

  • @caholaway from my experience, grow or garden shops that sell trays will sell plugs, especially hydro stores

  • lettuce my ass buddy ahhaah

  • what kind of start medium is that.

  • what are the benefits of this system compared with containers or the garden >?\

  • @theroden they grow faster, taller, stronger. Since the nutrients are applied directly to the roots, they do not grow as large as they would in the ground, and yet uptake is equal to or greater than their terrestrial counterparts. This reduction in root growth allows the plant to spend more energy growing upward, producing leaves, flowers, and fruit.

  • @bluemist431 wow...and how much did you spend to sep it up ?

  • Hey, have you thought about aquaponics? What kind of nutrients do you give your plants?

  • @iamnotdikkie

    youtube.com/watch?v=Kfjr-E2ic00

for my hydroponic plants I just use Liquid Earth Grow, Vigor, and Bloom. When I get some extra cash I will invest in supplement nutrients such as vitamin B and Seaweed extract.

  • Hey bro how much did this hydro system increase your light bill?

  • @MrMohamelabara no not really. Its only a 250 watt bulb. thats about how much a 40" LCD TV uses

  • Hey bro did this hydro thing increase you light bill by a lot?

  • what a pack of dicks. there is other things in life than weed. no wonder america is going to the pack if these guys are any indication

  • you mean your not growing pot then why the fuck would you hydro grow veggies

  • @HonorBorther 1. I live in the city and its winter, 2. I want fresh veggies without chemical residues on the outside, 3. To learn, try it sometime, 4. Long-run cheaper and healthier than buying veggies in the store, 5. I prefer life outside bars

  • @HonorBorther they dont wanna say it on the internet probably.... and yeah noone would go through so much trouble to grow lettuce when its a dollar at the store and u spend like 5 on water and 200 on supplies

  • Yo what college program are you in or did you do? Were you in horticulture or biology or something??

  • @bootster32 graduated from Univ. of Iowa with a communication BA, taking basic science courses now and am going to Univ. or Arizona's CEA program next fall. Everything I know now is from personal research

  • @bluemist431 Very Cool! Congrads on finishing your BA!

  • Young MC?

  • i love garlic i eat them shits all the time lol but i love botany never buit or grew any thing but looking forward one da

  • This system looks great. Would love to see how your veggies turned out. Also, what kind of nutrients and lighting are you using?

  • the best thing in growing seeds:

    nutrients

    water

    rocks

    Corona

    Nice vid...

  • Don't forget "The Gourds"...sippin' on Gin and Juice

  • do you submerge the whole seed in water till it grows a root or the whole when you first get the seed process

  • its not sustainable, so its not for me.

  • explain what you mean when you say, "its not sustainable"

  • im trying to do permaculture, where I grow all my own food and dont need money or society to survive. I need a sustained medium to start seeds in like "what can I use around the yard to start them in" I dont want to use a starting mix, why? because It cost money and is not a renewable energy. I also wont be using floresent lights to start them. I will start them in a south facing window seal.

  • This looks daunting....

I wish I could purchase an affordable system like this, I am not handy.

  • what kind of light do u use for ur seed starts? and do u use a dome?

  • you don't have to use a dome but i would recommend it. I was in college so I didnt really have a lot of money to spend on it.

If you don't use a dome make sure you either spray the plants daily or water them daily to keep the cube from drying out.

The dome simply keeps the cube and plant moist under the bright light

  • growing crops hydroponically uses 10% less water than conventional farming and is enormously less damaging to the environment (chemical runoff)

  • is that weed?

ur other vid was fucking mint or something

  • no this isnt weed, some bell peppers, lettuce, and broccoli (which i wouldnt recommend growing together if you want to obtain maximum yields as the amount of nutrients vary from plant to plant)

  • If you watched the video he tells you what the plants are...

  • why only 10hrs fof light on the seedlings?

  • did you make this yourself? and was that rockwool you used for the seedlings?

  • HAHAHA this is hilarious, i thought he was talking about weed the whole time. that was funny as shit

  • @crazy9423 me to lol and we was talking out letuice lol

  • You know, there are reasons to grow plants other than pot.

  • @crazy9423 you and all the other viewers lol

  • ok i was wondering what kind of grow medium i could use instead of a humidity dome to grow my seedlings before i transplant them into my hydroponic system ive heard rockwool and perlit but im not sure i cant find rockwool any where so i was wonder if i just use perlit like soil and when the plants r big enough transplant them any help or info is appreciated thank you

  • Looks like you made some clean cuts through that PVC tubing! Guessing that you used a drill press with a hole saw? Keep sharing those videos, really enjoyed this one!

  • dude great shit seriously! you should make some more vids or even HOW TO BUILT A HYDROPONICS SYSTEM AT HOME! Cheerss!

  • That is awsome. You should make some more videos about your system.
