@DanielSVT0998, Its actually the US model which is actually the model ZX600R. however the bikes are essentially the same other than a few cosmetic differences.
So you rejetted. I've got a yoshimura pipe on mine with a 112 main jet. I can't get it to hold idle. Did you keep your stock airbox? what size did you go with on the pilot jets? How many turns out are your air idle mixture screws for the idle jets? Whats your bike idle at?
Well its a DynoJet Stage 1 Kit #2129. I dont know the exact size of the jets, but they are the dynojet #DJ096. Mixture screws are 3.5-4 turns out if i remember correctly.
I have the stock airbox with a K&N filter, and the V&H SS2R full exhaust.
I think the bike idles at approx 900 rpm. I had it out last night, but it wasnt idling much :)
I appreciate it bud. That information will help me get mine in the ballpark. The previous owner did a number on it and I'm building it back to where it should be. Thanks again, she sounds good, keep riding hard!
Not in my experience. You would probably have to dump the clutch to get this bike to lift. Ive been riding it for 2 seasons now, and I havent done it.
It was listed for 88-97, but that might be because the frames are different on this and the A-model bikes. If you know someone who can weld it is probably possible.
yo what jet kit did you use and did it come with any instructions? and yo if you want way more power you should go down a tooth on the front sproket and up 2 on the rear.
yea. removing a tooth in the front is equal to adding 3 in the rear. but if he only went up one tooth in the rear that wouldn't do shit for power. you do both sprokets because you can contine to use the same size chain. Doing both sprokets gives you about a 10% increase in power but you could always just remove 1 tooth from the front sproket but you'd probably only get a 6% increase.
and yes i am young only 20 but ive been riding kawi's since i was 8
Its a stage 1 jet kit. While its always fun to make things faster, this bike does everything i need it to do in its current configuration. I will probably just ride it for a couple more years, and then get something like a zx-6 or 600rr.

i suck at balancing and dont want a bike that will do power wheelies. will this bike pull the front end up from power alone?

how much horsepower does that approximately get with that config.?
TJAKEkid123 2 years ago
I think the factory rating was 85 hp, so with the jet kit and exhaust maybe 90? 95? Im not really sure.

the bike sounds mint, what type of vance and hines exhaust is that, would you happen to know if it would fit my 85 zx600a?

If one tooth on the front is equal to 3 in the rear, explain to me why he just couldnt go up 1 tooth in the rear?
You want him to buy two sprockets?
Tell the truth. How old are you?
