@Kinley1978 talked to the father inlaw he worked ranches for about 20 years before going into guiding, anyway he said he had never heard of one dieing from castration. antibiotic of some sort is applied right away and its when they get their shots also. you have to remember that loosing even one calf can cost them a lot of money. they do their best to keep them, healthy.
